Why cant i see the social and Ovi update in Ovi Suite but it shows up in my phone ==

music player no probs for me.....so far at least

oni thing now is where the f is the split screen qwerty since its one of the features they talked about most in their release notes, dun tell me they miss it out again for our version like the smart dial doh.gif

I got the updates 1/2 and 2/2 plus ovi store + social to come out once in ovi suite, but it fails to install.
Not gonna soft format the phone either, so I'll just wait till Nokia sorts this out.

ya make sure save all you data like photos, music, and video.!! cost after the reset all those is gone!!

If u update using *#0000# or Ovi Suite, then no data loss will occur. Nokia have User Data Preservation (UDP) baked into their phones since pre Symbian^1 days, when FOTA being introduced in N82 IIRC.

But if u updating using Navifirm, or pheonix, then yes, data will be lost.
But surely, it wont hurt to do a backup, either using the built in app or Ovi Suite, just for some precaution laugh.gif

just updated through OTA....but same problem with you..fail to install 1/2 and 2/2...later i'll try soft reset n hard reset..

I meant to ask, N8 has 256MB of RAM(?). Before updating, it has about 170MB free. What happens after you updated to ANNA?

Before update i got most 120mb free only wor ?? After update , ram comsumption is higher , my free ram is now about 90mb ... before update at PR1.1 is around 100mb ...

HOWEVER, at 80 to 90mb of ram , i find that my phone is even more responsive than 100mb ++ in pr 1.1 !!!! rclxms.gif

Guess one of these day you have to go into a Nokia Care Center and get it done properly to get the missing RAM.

those having problem with split screen....try uninstalling swype 1st, if it doesnt work...use dis mod
