im stuck at ovi store now...always error

I can't even run OVI store. I can't get into it. Looks like I need to re-install OVI store. Troublesome. This OVI store has got a lot of problems? I just recently got the N8 and didn't expect this to happen.

With my previous Nokia, I could do this:

1. Open up photo (that has geo tag)
2. Press Option allows me to tell the phone to show me where that particular photo was taken. It does that by automatically opening up OVI MAPS.
3. Once OVI MAPS shows where that photo was taken, I simply select "Drive" and GPS navigation kicks in.

I don't seem to see that possible with the N8. Or am I missing something?

BTW, I am on 011.012 firmware.

I cant run store as well. It will stay in the loading page forever. Do u know how to re-install it?

for those ovi store got problem one... go to application manager, uninstall the ovi store installer... after that, go to software update, check for update... install the ovi store again....

To be frank I am new into this. I am looking around ovi.com and can't see download button. I don't want to do something and mess up other apps in my phone. I'll get some help on this later. Worse comes to worst I will get the phone to the Nokia Care Centre to have it sorted out. I've just had a look at the Ovi Store and don't really see any apps that I want "badly". The features that are off primary importance to me(camera and GPS applications) are already in the phone so I am not too bothered although the OVI store on the phone is currently not working, although I would say I am little disappointed with this minor glitch.

Nokia seems to be a bit biased to users from this region.some from sg oso reported missing split screen input

Biased? Tell that to any Maxis N8 owner. They know more about biase then you possibly could. Split screen or no split screen, they aren't going to get any of it.

download qt files to your phone from

then install in the sequence below:

1.qt.sis
2.qtwebkit.sis
3.qmlviewer.sis
4.qtmobility.sis
5.Notifications Support Package Symbian3 v1.1.11120.sis
6.Notifications Environment Selector Symbian3.sis

it might ask if you want to overwrite the old files, say yes everytime

reboot when finished and ovi store loads fine now for me

updated to anna.... as for sklchan mods... its still working fine in anna... everything that I installed earlier still working..i guess should be fine too

thats more on maxis fault rather thn nokia

Hmm, for those who still haven't got their Anna yet, how about changing the product codes? I suppose that should do the trick.

I've managed to install Ovi store from a seperate sis file. (2.12.0.42)
So now it's down to anna 1/2 and 2/2. After many retries, fixing QT @ fixqt.com (the QT files on that site are older - but it prompts the anna 1/2 and 2/2 updates to re-install the QT files again),

i'm stuck at :

Anna 1/2 : 1854KB
Anna 2/2: 3052KB

Now using Ovi Suite, the Anna 1/2 downloads a "qtmobility_pu.sis" - QT Mobility 1.01(301) @ 1.8MB (the files are located at \\user\\Appdata\\Local\\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite\\IAD\\) . I tried copying this and installing manually but no success ("Install Failed").

Good thing is the phone works as it should. Haven't run into any errors or "phone feature not supported" messages anymore during startup.
