Register quickoffice done. Check new features; nothing substantial that I want to use.

check adobe reader... nothing new there as well.

Although I notice that the app seems to responds faster.

Install the latest fmobi - check work fine.

Install new sleeping screen - also working ; have nicer looking clock with my face LEDed

Check store: The update for
Ovi Maps 3.6 (no need I have 3.7)
Social 1.3.215 (no need I have 1.3.237)

may be something wrong with the store.

Nokia social, working like a charm as ever.

you need to also check the software update - it will give another 4 modules. After installing those updates you get back office and adobe.

Hi, has anyone encounter this?
when I update usng *#0000#, it only appear  one update (about 25mb), after that, the OS changed to Anna, but the FM transmitter, pdf viewer and quick office gone.
after that, i check the device update again,  it showing 'no update available'

my ovi store still at old version (non Anna icon) after update.

A Beta camera update for Nokia N8 is available on Betalabs now!

http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/camera-update

This application is an upgrade to the built-in camera application, for your Nokia N8.  It will look familiar to you, no doubt. It's still the great N8 camera, providing superb results. We've just made it a little better by making some of the improvements we didn't manage to squeeze into the Symbian Anna release.

We tweaked the UI, to provide camera aficionados faster access to essential camera controls
We improved the quality of recorded videos, by cranking up the video recording speed to 30 FPS and adding the heavily requested continuous auto-focus.
P/S :

This camera update is for the Nokia N8 with Symbian Anna. If you do not yet have Symbian Anna, you can check for it at http://www.nokia.com/softwareupdate or from your device Tools -> SW update. We will not be releasing similar beta for other products due to the differences in camera hardware.

its the belle trio, three new phones 500,600,700 if I'm not mistaken. all come with belle, meaning belle is ready... and can be released sooner than later.

I do feel sorry for ppl who get their update late, they might be cases where some product number will be skipped (like mine for 1.2)

now you need to check software update Symbian Anna 1/2 then install social etc. Another 4 updates to go. Its available via software update apps.

You need to wait for 1 day though or can change the date of the phone.

Battery on my N8 will barely last through the day, and I like to get all the functionality of a smart phone.

So can I replace with higher capacity battery e.g:

http://www.lelong.com.my/genuine-high-batt...2-02-Sale-P.htm

http://www.lelong.com.my/1500mah-battery-b...1-12-Sale-P.htm

Both (1400mah and 1500mah) is bigger then the original at 1200mah.

Anybody try before? Age of the phone is > 1 yr so no more warranty I guess to worry about. The video shown on many sites make me believe that the procedure is easy enough to do.

I got the same problem, my C: is currently 26.5. So going through the option of resetting the device.

just to confirm with the sifu, the effects on my phone. My aim is to get a plain symbian anna (device nearly 1yr already originally come with PR 1.1):

Option 1:
*#7370#

Option 2 Factory Reset:
Press down the power button for 8 seconds.
Restore the factory settings by selecting Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone management > Factory settings > Restore.

Option 3 Three Finger Reset:
Step 1: Turn your Nokia N8 OFF

Step 2: Hold Volume Down + Camera Key + Menu Key at the same time and press power button until your phone vibrates.

Step 3: Wait until the screen comes back on.
