Amfirst, you need to take into the account of newly right issue shares into consideration when calculating its yield.  smile.gif

Not mean it is good or not good to grab some.

Total EPS/dividend by total new number of shares.

The right issue is 3:5 means share capital has enlarged 60%.

Thanks bro for the encouragement. Just started investing in REIT.

Do you just buy the REIT and don't monitor everyday?

I am monitoring it everyday, find it a bit stressful ... maybe should just buy and sit back relax.

You buy REITs so you don't need the hassle to monitor....
If you monitor then you defeat the purpose....volatility only exist on other stocks, not REITs
Besides, whats the purpose of you monitoring? you wanna see the right low price to go in? can tell you its only 1-2 cents difference. So just set your buying to every transaction = 10-50 lots....you wont feel the difference much.

not worry bro tongue.gif

if them just take our money doing nothing, then will become 3-4%. mad.gif

BUT ther are taking our money to repayment loan from bank rclxms.gif

so after my calculation

the realized earning per quarter should be 7.13sento8sen/4=1.78sen-2sen per quarter(not include the unrealized)

On the EX-date, the REIT price will be "adjusted" (usually downwards).

When I did trading last time, I also got panic every time share price was down. Now I invest in fundamentally strong stocks, not so stressful...

Hey there ConstantLove,

Just a PoV ar - pls keep in mind that the stock market is like a "big auction house" - with thousands/millions of people bidding to buy and offering to sell.
The transacted price / "price done" is where bidder and offerer agrees on.
Thus, it is NOT an exact science where IF a stock's ex-dividend, it will fall.

It TENDS to fall coz, logically & fundamentally, the company just ejected a bunch of $ to cum-div stock holders, thus the ex-dividend stock value should be lower.
eg. stock cum div = $1, dividend $0.10, thus if simple exact maths, the stock value should drop to $0.90 ex-div
This happens for sure only in mutual funds, where the NAV isn't based on bid/offer of a free market, but based on maths.
However, for stocks in an open bid/offer market, anything can happen.

In an open bid/offer auction market, the $ agreed/transacted can be ANYTHING (theoretically), and can be far removed from the company's business reality.

Just a PoV to try and put things in perspective. The gurus/sifus in LYN may have a better example than my simplified version of "big auction". notworthy.gif
