You need to provide them the 1st page of statement showing the amount you wanted to transfer (could be lesser but I doubt that they accept more).

Any idea if we must submit our latest credit card statement from the bank we intend to do a BT from ? I am talking about HSBC. The 0% interest 6-month BT with HSBC is going to end on 15 Jan 2011. I'm scared that my Citibank statement won't arrive that soon. Might just miss the chance to do a BT to HSBC sad.gif

David mentioned he used his online statement for BT. However for DA, no need latest statement, I was also afraid that I'll get my OCBC statement late so fax the previous statement to DA and they approve it. What DA CS told me is that they just want Statement to verify the card number as filled in the application form. Call HSBC lah to confirm.

Oh is it ? I hope HSBC won't be so fussy requiring the latest statement too ... I can't show them my online statement because i still have no access to Citibank online until today. Yes. I received the first Citibank credit card back in early October but have yet to received the damn PIN vmad.gif Requested for new PIN three times already but somehow all three PIN just vanished into thin air.

not sure until that detail n i didnt call the other bank. it is stated on the monthly statement. so i believed, it is shorter because need time to clear the cheque also.
no new account, n the instalment will be part of ur outstanding.

for example if ur outstanding for the month is 1k.

n assume u BT RM2400 for 12 months,

1st month BT: 1000 + 200

so ur total outstanding becomes 1200. it becomes part of ur acc already.

So, if we pay 1200, still means we pay all...and not to the BT right?

This is something new. I also provided them with the latest new.

Then, if I were BT the amount more than the outstanding amount in the submitted statement, this could be possible?

Do you mean if I pay 1200, I still have 1K outstanding because 1200 go to BT?

From above, I am guessing you mean that you have settled outstanding amount in the last statement but used the last statement to justify your BT application and apply for amount no longer owing. Yes if this is the case. But why want to BT more than owing? With DA, can do BT anytime and by doing it later, you pay later. Unless you kiasu and afraid DA won't be extending the promotion.

My guess is that comes 1st January 2011, CIMB/DA going to offer 12 months 0% interest to compete with Maybank and to be better than HSBC and Alliance 0% for 6 months BT.

Question [Direct Access], let say i balanced transfer RM 6000 for 6 months.
So every month i need to pay RM 1000?
Total= RM 1000* 6= RM 6000?

But what i am surprize about Direct access is, even if we ONLY pay RM 500 (More than 5%) every month and the last month we pay the rest( 500+500+500+500+500+RM 3500), it is still total RM 6000.

anyone can enlighten me?
is it true?

I think my application on CIMB Balance Transfer got approved, but I haven't receive any letter. CIMB officer also quite rushing over phone call, from card application to balance transfer application, both call is less than 1 minute.

She just say I will receive a letter. Did they directly bank in to there other bank? I read here, I actually need to take cheque from CIMB? Thanks.
*
they do giro transfer for the bt amount straight into your cc account. letter will arrive within a week.

cheerio!

Yes it is true. You can do that by paying min amount on the first few months.

Nope you can't. I've tried, and was told that I can only transfer the amount on my cc statement.
