Woot! Just noticed that CIMB extend the 6 months 0% BT 'till the end of December, so took advantage of it and made another transfer after settling the previous BT last month. That's two 0% BT made in this year, thanks CIMB smile.gif Might consider keeping the card if this promo keep on extending biggrin.gif

Hi all!

Newbie here, I wanna ask something about BT...

I must have debts for months only I can apply for BT??

If I want to apply BT in M bank, then I must apply a CC from M bank first is it??

Or is it that, directly I apply for BT in M bank, then if they approved, then will issue me M bank CC??

M bank pays my debt in A bank, I still can use my CC in A bank??

THANKS icon_idea.gif

Hi all!

Newbie here, I wanna ask something about BT...

I must have debts for months only I can apply for BT?? No need, you can apply for BT as long as the amount is shown in the CC Statement. i.e. best before payment due to avoid interest charges.

If I want to apply BT in M bank, then I must apply a CC from M bank first is it?? Yes

Or is it that, directly I apply for BT in M bank, then if they approved, then will issue me M bank CC?? When you apply concurrently, more like your application approved for the card then only BT will be approved.

M bank pays my debt in A bank, I still can use my CC in A bank?? Yes, you will see in A Bank that the outstanding amount have been reduced since payment is made by M bank.

For maybank, "sufficient CL" means?
80% of the CL as what gerrardling said?

regarding balance transfer is transfer the ur debt from one bank to another bank will lowest rate and installment plan. Issit possible to convert the credit card debt to installment plan, jst like balance transfer but in the same bank.

Let said we have 3 card here:-

Card A, maybank : Gold card , debt = 5000
Card B, maybank : Amex, debt = 5000
Card C, maybank : Visa, debt = 5000

so the total dept which 3 cards is 15K, issit possible to sum all the outstanding balance and convert it to installment plan with lower rate.

Just an example here. Hope can get more info. Thanks.

Hi,

Sorry if this question has been asked previously.
I just got my CIMB statement yesterday by mail ( Due date is 10 Sept), i will go do Balance Transfer to Maybank 0% 12 months on Monday ( 29 Aug). From the Maybank website it says, the bank will take roughly 10 working days to pay to the other bank. So in this case, if Maybank haven't paid CIMB by 10 Sept, will i be charged interest? Should i pay the minimum payment of my CIMB statement? Please advise. Tq

If you hold an SCB card, their marketing team will offer you LOW INTEREST RATE CASH ADVANCE.
You may utilize this fund to cover your debts first, then you repay the money to SCB.

Yes, you should pay minimum to CIMB in case MBB delay in processing the BT application. Moreover it is Raya and many people will be on leave.
