wanna confirm step to flash from 2.3.4 gingerbread xxjvq to CM kernel +nightly ROM

1.use speedmod-kernel-k15i-t2b to flash d kernel
2.copy d Google apps and m_galaxysmtd_full-82 zip into sd root
3.enter recovery mode
4.Select the option to Wipe data/factory reset.
Then select the option to Wipe cache partition.
Select Install zip from sdcard.
Select Choose zip from sdcard.
Select the CyanogenMod update.zip.
Install the Google Apps by performing steps 7 - 9 again and choosing the Google Apps update.zip.

- can clear dalvik cache along with normal cache too.
- make sure you reboot phone after flashing cm7. don't flash gapps right away.
- imei number will be retained
- it is multi csc I think, so apn settings will be made automatically.

How do i flash EZboot-GingerBread-1.0.tar.md5 file to my phone? Via Odin, but where to put it as?

Now i'm in CM7, 7.0 i think, i try to flash to 8.0 but failed i suppose. I heard you guys said battery improve with gingerbread bootloader, so i wanna give it a try.

yes. after flashing cm7, reboot to install gapps. install tb from market and then you can restore apps and data.

the only difference is the one u showed is 4G versions, which is only used in the US or other countries that uses 4G (japan i think) ... M'sia is only 3G ...

its a leak version, so make a guess yourself ...

ramad found something suspicious inside JVR and alot also talking about darky having something to do with it ... after reading things on XDA, i think i will stay on JVQ

damn ... everyone is talking about cm7 ... i think i will be switching soon .. haha

yea i am in the us so i might get this one, just to make sure how is this different to normal samsung galaxy s in malaysia..

did you guys notice that the home button is different and there are few more button at the bottom of the screen compared to the normal samsung galaxy s in malaysia?

help gapps andriod market cant search for any apps

it is also know as Vibrant 4G, internal specs will be the same only the exterior is different, which u have pointed out it has 4 touch softkeys rather than 2 + 1 home button ... 4G versions doesnt work in M'sia if i am not mistaken ... and u cant flash normal international galaxy s version rom, have to find specifically for vibrant 4g ...
