QUOTE(ken2291 @ Aug 10 2011, 08:35 PM) with just one odin flash, you'll clear everything, cache, dalvik cache, system & data apps. you also get root and cwm too. it's like a clean base to fall back into. can choose froyo or gingerbread one, each with respective bootloader. QUOTE(deanomoi @ Aug 10 2011, 08:47 PM) never had this problem. tried reboot? Hi guys,
I have given my old SGS to a family member to use. I would like to flash a stable ROM with minimal bugs and lag. Is Stock XXJVQ, followed by Speedmod K15I kernel, then apply EXT4 lagfix the way to go? Thanks |

QUOTE(annas473 @ Aug 11 2011, 08:10 AM) JVR have the same bootloader with other Gingerbread version so no worry man. cm7 only use/need samsung gingerbread bootloader, system file are totally different in cm7 and samsung rom so nothing to worry about. duh..before flash galaxian, i convert to RFS & thought i can rolledback to EXT4 after flash..but just realized that galaxian will auto-detect RFS/EXT4 during flash..izit?
so now how to convert back to EXT4? - flash speedmod back, convert to ext4 in recovery & flash galaxian back - or, any method to convert on galaxian? SOLVED: using Chainfire EXT4 tools now..hope it works.. This post has been edited by penew: Aug 11 2011, 02:37 PM |
