+1. i've never seen a CM7 before

hye guys..im new to android and ofcoz galaxys..just bought mine yesterday..before i use symbian so i dont know how about it until i read from here..meanwhile when i read..i noticed that version 2.3.4 are out..and mine was 2.3.3..when i try to use kies to upgrade the firmware it says the device cannot update..have anyone experience it and i did read about odin and cfm..do this kind of flash will void my waranty?dont bash me ya u guys. i know u all very nice and helpfull one..

KIES is the official update by Samsung, and it depends on your CSC. it is diferrent between regions.
ODIN is the tool to flash unofficial rom, such as leaked rom, etc.
only rooting will void your warranty

Blue ocean theme is probably the slickest theme I've tried

2.3.4 is for euro version only which mean you will not get update in kies because kies will only update official rom for malaysia. the latest rom for malaysia is DXJV9. The best thing of android, you can always do what you want to. use odin3 to flash those rom from "oversea".LOL! flash to other country firmware and root will void your warranty but you can always flash back to official rom when you wanna claim warranty. the flashing will only cost you within 5min. emmm..so 2.3.4 is euro but still usable for malaysia?..in this case the rom not built for malaysia..but i bet no problem to do with telco/simcard right,as you all already did it before.. im afraid to "flash" thingy.afraid when im not flash it in correct way it will make the phone malfunction at all(idk how about galaxy s)..i have bad experience with my psp which i wrongly update the version and couse it brick.. haha, i hope i will find the good tutorial to avoid bad things happen

sure, you can flash any country firmware as long as it is build for i9000. for flashing you can check first page how to flash with odin or check my siggy easier. good luck.

flash 2.3.4, then flash back CSC for Malaysia. hehe
the main different between regions i guess is the CSC and swype version.
DXJV9 got BM's swype.

i flash fugumod kernel for the vodoo sound, then some mod for crt screen, extended menu, etc.

what is csc...i noticed that to..i dont have swype bm version at 2.3.3 that i am using right now.

csc is modem. try read first page and you will understand this phone.

CSC is not modem. It's a collection of APNs. :S
