undervolt dunno mine i drop it for fun because i found that i can play games and do many stuff at 2.3 gig with only 1.55 volts.
so i guess now my sweet spot is 2.4 gig with 1.61 around there.
don't think it would damage the proc. after all if not enough volt the thing just cracko or hang right. =]

can u separate the ranking into "unlocked desktop barton" & "locked desktop barton"?
i think it's not very fair for locked barton to compete with the unlocked ones. juz my 2 cents

jus wan mention...unlock n lock barton is same...jus onli can go in low multipier n high fsb onli...

nothing special, juz some extra cooling (inexpensive method)
i got no money to buy new HSF, so have to think of other ways
1. replace the VD7 fan with a delta FF 8k RPM
2. undress the PC top and side panels so that the hot air can make their way out.
3. to avoid hot air that comes out from the heatsink from going back in, blow it with a table fan.

the others r as usual, 2 casefan at rear and 120mm on PSU

2600MHz my PSU cannot handle it. bad smell came out of the PSU
so i'll stick to stage 2 result

with only 1.7vcore, pretty impresive proc u got there...
lock or unlock?

I just updated to the latest bios version and found that they changed the specification for cpu-z.

Pic on the left is before updating and the right is after updating. There's no more written 3200+ for new bios. Weird Before i update, i get to choose either 2800+, 3200+ or user define. Now i only get to choose either 2800+ or user define. I've to manually key in the FSB and Multiplier

my previous desktop barton was an unlocked DTR, stepping AQYHA 0332MPMW. everything else was the same.

only with stock bios u can have dat kinda settin...
