Hey guys, anyone here playing BF3 (BattleField 3)

I'm again facing the black bar problem When I play BF3, there is a 1 inch black bar on the RIGHT side of my screen... only right side... Any idea what is the problem? and how can I fix that? Even when playing Dirt3
And it's only in Full screen mode, it's totally fine in window mode :S

Your help is really appreciated!

Which things??? >>> I mean the games sometimes work sometime dont... I think it more related with the graphic driver (ATI)

I don't have a blackbar when playing BF3.. i reverted back to DNA 11.8.3 tho.. 11.10 preview suck so bad in BF3.


Then u can do recovery in UEFI to get back your original OS i think.

halo, this thing also happen when i uses IE.
it's intermittent, sometimes if 'lucky' it occurs after 2 hours, else within 30 mins.
whole thing hang up, even the time at the screen freezes. not response to whatsoever except the power button.

i tried diagnostic and all HW seems ok.

this machine is just 6 days old, can i change machine to a new one?
one to one replacement?

my graphic driver is up to date (I went to Device manager and click update and it says I have the lastest driver already)

Sorry, I'm so noob for laptop graphics, first time having this kind of graphic on laptop, no idea what I should do...

And even my CCC looks weird...other old CCC have scaling options etc but why CCC for dv6-6108tx doesnt have those options?

Should I install other unofficial driver or CCC or? confused haha xD

My CCC doesnt even show its version properly, it says version=2011.0728.1756.30366
what the hell does that mean? is it 11.8? :S

This is getting annoying.

My AMD driver crashes almost every time I alt-tab out of Heroes of Newerth.

The AMD driver also randomly crashes during web-browsing although it occurs far less often.

Sometimes, even quitting Heroes of Newerth will crash the AMD driver.

Can someone help me with this issue?

i have clean installed n it successfully update to 11.9 but do i necessary to perform ccleaner driver wiper ? ..
but nw it have a prob missing biometric device driver n my fingerprint sensor not working

Can i know where can i download biometric device driver/ validity fingerprint for dv6001tx models ?
Cos when i open HP SimplePass Identity Protection 2011 Software , it said sensor not connected . At device manager there has one unknown device should be missing this driver ...

My friend with the same laptop as mine (dv6-6114tx) is also suffering from this problem.

I'm not familiar with it too.. when u Power On you laptop and press ESC. You will see a bunch of menu.. find menu for recovery.


You should look at 'Catalyst version' not 'Catalyst Control Centre version'. Yes.. our mobile driver don't have scaling option.. if you need to set scaling u need 3rd party tool posted by lee_what2004. U can find it in the first page.


DriveWiper or DriverSweeper? Both is totally different thing. Anyway you don't need both of them since you managed to install it without problem.


Around 30fps-35fps outdoor on Metro map with Medium Preset. Indoor i get around >40fps.

Btw your display driver is updated right? Can u open CCC and disable PowerPlay? After that check if it still hang.

Download latest version of Validity Fingerprint Reader and HP SimplePass Software by DigitalPersona if u using it.

I think the driver stop responding when it tries to change from 3D clock to 2D clock or vice versa. My guess is MSI Afterburner handle it better. Probably u can try disable PowerPlay instead of using MSI Afterburner.
