hmm... hi, i am a new user of SGA too, regarding the wifi issue, my way of "solving" it is to restart the modem.. it works everytime but it's quite annoying... hope like what the forumers said, hope that GB will fix this..

hmm.. maybe one difference is im using GB2.3.4 euro version so no issues with router/wifi. are those with the wifi not connecting problem still on froyo? any have updated to GB and still see the same issue?

just updated my phone to the official GB... here's what i notice:
- User interface is much cleaner and nicer.

- internal memory space has been VERY well managed (compared when i first got froyo with this phone.) froyo i only have 30MB for space for my apps but now i have a whopping 160MB.

- SOD. I can't make a comparison for SOD because previously i didn't encounter any. sorry.

- keyboard is different as well. so far it's only aesthetic.

- in terms of phone speed, i realized it's much smoother but when i open my picture gallery, it takes much longer to load.

- there's a new icon 'Download'. i think it's to track your download activities.

- battery management is still under examination. seems ok so far. will keep updated.

cheerios...

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the kies software? im using win7 home basic, 32 bit successfully with KIES 2.0.

Have uploaded the 32-bit USB Drivers here: http://goo.gl/QJ2CE
Have not tested if it works, so use at your own risk.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
p/s: read somewhere online that the wifi/galaxy ace issue could be caused by router's firmware. did you guys recently updated the firmware for your routers?

hi guys, i am suffering too from SOD. Been using Galaxy Ace for 5 months.
I found out that in US, they did file a law suit to Samsung over this SOD.
To share here: http://www.courthousenews.com/2011/03/28/Samsung.pdf

Whether we can do the same to Samsung Malaysia ?

Unfortunately there is no further news from that case.

Someone create a facebook page about Samsung SOD and see how many "Like" the page? Maybe we can get samsung to compensate us.

So i am wondering whether if i visit one of the Samsung service center to upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbread....will it solve SOD problem ?

Is the upgrade FOC ?

Added on August 30, 2011, 4:56 pmOne thing to note, i visited Samsung counter at KSL City, Johor Bahru, few weeks ago telling them my story. The boy told me to re-format the phone. He told me need 3 days to complete the job...WTF, i re-format take less than hour...ahhaa......lousy technical knowledge ?

When i first got my phone, i only had 30mb left for any additional apps. 120mb was used for existing apps in the phone. Now after changing to gb, the existing apps installed only takes up 26mb. Ace max storage only until 162mb... I could be wrong.

As for games, i have no tried hvga games yet.
