QUOTE(icewolf3 @ Aug 30 2011, 08:46 PM)
When i first got my phone, i only had 30mb left for any additional apps. 120mb was used for existing apps in the phone. Now after changing to gb, the existing apps installed only takes up 26mb. Ace max storage only until 162mb... I could be wrong.

As for games, i have no tried hvga games yet.

I still have 30mb of free space despite already installed around 100 apps or more including widgets, running on stock froyo hmm.gif why is yours so little when ur on froyo? Did u uninstall updates of maps, samsung apps, market.....?

I got the same issue as you only about 25MB left with only about 20 apps installed. I discovered that the log files consumed the internal memory. After deleting all the log files I got 120MB of internal memory and still on froyo. If you are wondering what happen to your internal memory, go to /data/log directory to check whether log files are taking up the memory. Your need root explorer or similar to access your internal memory.

Yes, but I use it only 2 clear app cache. Those apps that can be put into sd card will be moved to sd card by default automatically, NO NEED app2sd. Isnt all ace like this? Why u guys still say need 2 use app2sd 2 move moveable apps into sd card? My ace will auto move moveable apps into sd WITHOUT using app2sd. Are our aces different rclxub.gif ?

Got my SGA upgraded to Gingerbread on Monday, after using it for a period of time, there is no issue of SOD. Other improvement are like playing Fruit Ninja is smoother. tongue.gif

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the kies software? im using win7 home basic, 32 bit successfully with KIES 2.0.

Have uploaded the 32-bit USB Drivers here: http://goo.gl/QJ2CE
Have not tested if it works, so use at your own risk.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
p/s: read somewhere online that the wifi/galaxy ace issue could be caused by router's firmware. did you guys recently updated the firmware for your routers?
*
still same problem after install driver from the link, failed to install driver after detecting my phone via usb sad.gif
ye, already installed and un-installed it (right now using downloaded Kies_2.0.2.11071_128)

and for ur last questions, why i need to update my router since i just connect it via usb.
sry im new with samsung blush.gif

sorry for confusing you MjMax15. my last comment on the router thingy was more for the other ppl who has issues with the wifi connection disconnecting with their phones. Nothing to do with your USB issue.

back to your USB issue. do you have another spare USB cable you can try using? I recall i had a similiar issue with a motorola phone before ( used a sony cable and couldn't charge).

else.. i have the Samsung PC Studio software as well. It might contain USB drivers if you're keen to try out i can upload it.

for camera, i agree the stock camera app is not so good. I use camera 360 instead. My avatar is a sample from it with lomo effect.

Has anyone managed to update their firmware to Gingerbread 2.3.4 firmware? How is it possible to remove some unnecessary softwares like Bewanka(Russian app, black A with a red circle around it)

Tried the Application settings but there are no options to un-install them. Any advice?

Found this suggested workaround on the net.Maybe worth a try see if works or not.

1. Go to Samsung Kies software, on top left of the window, click the menu > Driver recovery.
2. Let it reinstall drivers
3. After driver installation finished, go to your phone, Settings> Application > Development, tick USB debugging mode.
4. Under USB debugging mode connect your phone to the PC with USB.
5. It installs correctly!
6. Disconnect from PC
7. Untick USB debugging mode
8. Connect again

Camera 360 is an app. you can get it here: http://goo.gl/gXhv6

Well, not all apps are moveable to SD card. so perhaps all the apps they have installed so far is only for phone storage?
for example:

this list most of my apps

but only these few can actually be saved to SD Card

Unfortunately, it requires rooting. Mine's an original(with a 5-yr warranty) so I'll pass.
