No, didn't know I need to format the sd card to ext4. I did do a sync and backup with Kies. The matter now is Kies just show it is trying to connect. The status just keep showing trying to connect.... no unsuccessful or error msg. I have on/off my phone and pc. Still the same.

I have Mybackup app in phone. Once I restore, now I have many doubles in my contacts.

if not mistaken, Apps2SD need your sd card in ext4 format. If not, it not detect ur card and cannot activate it.

additional:
1. Copy all the existing files in sd card in your pc (make a backup)
2. then, follow the instruction as link above
3. for ext4 partition, some recommend 512mb, and some 1gb. For me i used 1gb for ext4 (mine is 8gb. for fat32 used 7gb, and rest for ext4. Bare in mind, this is not a accurate size.) i also forgot what is the real one.
4. Don't forget to click apply on the partion magic software. After finish, ur pc will detect the sd card in just fat32 format.
5. u can copy back ur existing files into the sd card.
6. Then, place back ur sd to the phone. Follow instruction in Myth:
+ Open tweakmanager > enable VM Swapiness & DT: Autostart (dont need to click Apply because ur phone will reboot after enable davilk cache in next step)
+ Enable swap & zipalign
+ Enable A2SDGUI > Davilk cache > Cache on sd-ext then press "Move"

7. ur a2sdgui should detect the sd card now.
8. If u hv titanium backup, it will show the exact size of ur sd card in fat32 and ext4 format.

try to update ur kies in new update (maybe the latest is v.203.11082_152). My kies can detect the phone.

u using mybackup app? i don't know about that. Maybe u can try to restore from the app first.
For me, i just using kies for backup my contact, bookmark and memo. For message, i'm using go sms pro for msg backup. Once i'm finish update to gb and flash the Myth ROM, then connect my phone to kies and restore everything. Same to msg, install back the go sms pro app, the restore it.

please do it one by one. i hope it will help.

btw, i'm using Myth v.1.1 ROM and its was awesome. Try to flash to myth v.1.2 just now, but i dont know whats wrong, then i revert (restore) to Myth v1.1 back

here is another option how to format ur sd to ext4 if ur already flash to Myth rom. Another instruction (i think no need to use sd card reader,just copy and backup all entire data in sd in ur pc. After finish, just copy back the data to ur sd in phone)

i am planning to flash FirstUA-ROM...anyone tried this rom before?

One thing I dont like about SGA is the headphone. I cannot simply use any other headphone, plug in and listen to songs or watch movie. I must use the original SGA headphone.

Outdated ROM.. The dev for that ROM already developing CM7..
Its an okayy ROM but most probably wont get any support for bugs..

Added on September 27, 2011, 3:08 pmI'm already jumping over to CM7 BehradGH. But I hv problem installing it. From Myth v1.2, I install back to GB 2.3.4. Format my SD to Ext4. Put CWM back in. Wipe my partition clean and factory reset. Install behradGH, but now the screen stuck at Samsung logo.... after a while, I think due to battery save, it goes dim.... press on home button shows nothing. Should I reboot or leave it? It's part of the process?

With Myth v1.2, I would hv already booted by now.

i just flash CyanogenMod 7.1-cooper-KANG-BETA Android 2.3.5, and my ace cannot connect to internet on dataplan...ive enable data access...anybody facing the same prob?

I tried Myth v1.2 in the morning, I got it done in an hour. I have been trying behradGH for the whole afternoon and yet still cannot get it done. What am I missing on the steps below?

- flash to stock GB 2.3.4 KPB rom
- go into recovery mode, install CWM 4.0.0.9
- wipe clean and reset to factory settings
- install bedhradGH from sd card

I don't see any error msg. It says Installation completed or something like that. Then I reboot. I can get until samsung logo and no further. waited very long but the status would not change. Battery very hot. When i flash back to stock rom, i see my battery half gone. Where is my mistake?

DXKPD or DXKPB??

FOund this solution on XDA.. Tiresome step IMO, but worth a try..
