Root it. Google for how to root froyo. One way is download superoneclick. To upgrade to gingerbread you need to unroot it. Use the same superoneclick to unroot.

The important data will be your contacts which can be sync to Gmail account if you have one. Apps can be reinstalled if you have the APK files. SMS use SMS Backup & Restore. The rest you can copy to your PC. Data in the sdcard should be safe.

Hi... like to check with Galaxy Ace owner, whether you guys/girls found that the phone ear speaker quality like not so good?

I found that the frequency range not as good as other phone and the voice produce by SGA kind of not so clear (or good quality) compare to other phones....

Is my phone problem, or it is common that SGA got a low quality speaker for ear piece?? thx.

so far so good for me at the moments and able to heard clearly under normal condition...
but except of loud speaker mode, the voice quality seem a bit blur...

otherwise it could be caller's handphone mic issues... poor mic quality will cause poor voice output quality... also the operator gateway also one of the reasons will cause the poor audio quality especially from those VOIP services...

now need 300++ more.. T-T i just hope they port it for the top 3 phones.. after all top 3 are samsung phones, so should be the same/ easy, no?


btw, I really2 recommend devilsking's KPB v1.1 Myth ROM. Very nice interface,animations, fast and superb battery increase! very light use can take me up to almost 4 days, while normal messaging and texting would take me 3 days! with apps usage more or less the same with stock GB..

one downside but unsure if it is only affecting me as other peeps reported nothing.. there seems to be a bit heavy lag when opening the gallery.. just that only.. others, only good stuffs! =) try it here!
