The kernel was tuned for battery saving rather than extreme performance. Wanted a fast one, get Speedmod, can get 4K on Batista.

*Quadrant is not a good benchmark btw. Another benchmark tools are CF-Bench or Antutu.

Patut la...I run Batista on score and see so low. Speedmod pula suck my battery juice like vampire drool.gif

Why can't I flash KG3 or KG6 with Odin successfully. Every time it'll show FAIL....unable to read line 1234....(something like that). I didn't have trouble with flashing KG2 though. I had ticked Re-partition, auto reboot, F.reset time, filled up seperately PDA,PHONE,CSC, with their respective themes. Do I have to unroot first b4 flashing new rom, or being Europe firmware, have different configuration, or I miss out something? Please help thanks.

My take on the so call SGS2 getting "hot" issue. A few days ago, I was doing some serious intense internet browsing, gaming, etc... I do feel warm around middle area on the back of the phone (my guess it is where the processor is located). It is warm for sure, but i do not feel bothered by it fortunately, I guess it is still within my tolerance level.

In normal condition without much stretching, my phone rarely over 36 degree C. Just to share...

TQ

I not using Thunderbolt cos it makes my setcpu go crazy. Random hangs is annoying! nod.gif

Yesterday when i was opening an attachment through the gmail app, my phone screen went to a bright blue screen and it hangs there. Can't exit not switch my phone off. Only way is to remove the battery. However i though it was the attachment but i tried it again on my ipad and later on my s2, and its fine. It's just a normal image file sent by my Dad. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the attachment. Anyone experience a bright blue screen before and it just hangs till you remove the battery?

Not sure about it coz did not ov yet. I did ran a test on Speedmod K1-T17 and Thunderbolt #15. The former got ~5600 - ~5700 and the latter was ~5500.

Currently running Thunderbolt #15 with UV. With Speedmod, managed to get 1d and 1h on battery.

Not bad! I use Speedmod before but sadly can't adjust setcpu right? I am a strong believer that reduce volt = more battery thingy. Haha blush.gif

With Ninpo kernel, I am getting about 12 hours battery usage. Of course I browse a lto using my phone and some games.

If there is a phone can last me about 12-15 hours battery life I am hapyp already cos I know I am a heavy user icon_question.gif

Using CF - bench on 1.2ghz and usual UV - score of 5436

Settings/Applications/manage applications - locate app : select clear data - this will remove all your data associated with Memo
Than go to Titanium Backup - and restore back app/data ( assuming you have backup this earlier on)

FC is usually due to 3rd party apps interference - do you have any 3rd party apps ( from ahem/warez sourcse ??) - if so , you can try uninstall those

Last resort - factory reset and restore back using Titanium

You should test it too at other WiFi outlets to eliminate problem is due to phone
Did you reset your home wifi router and see whether any improvement

Thank you so much for trying so hard to help me to find a solution, Mr Benny. However, I'm still facing the same problem.
After restore data from TB, I totally can't go in Memo. After clearing data, can go in, but when I want to create a new memo, it FC again. For your info, I don't have ahem type of apps. TB also I paid for it.
I just wonder, could it be the difference between the memo in froyo/ SGS and in GB/SGS2 which render this issue.
Aih..........
