benny, please wait for no.555 and add me can? if not, then i will ask afterward.

i flash litening rom on the night of my first day i got my hands on this phone, like custom rom more, one of the thing i like the most is the battery indicator, useful to check. but is sad to see the % keep on dropping. wondering does Viber was a battery sucker. When my phone was on wifi, my battery drop only 1% in five hour (litening rom 4.2), then i went to work, my battery keep on dropping, no wifi, no 3g roaming but 3g is on, the indicator showed 3g network connected.

im not statisfied with the result, then i flash batista rom on the second day which i encounter same result, battery drop fast (no wifi, 3g on but roaming not allowed). therefore i start to have a thought, when 3g is on but not roaming, some of the services keep on trying to access but unable to reach, therefore keep on refreshing. from what i observe in the battery chart, my phone is awake although do nothing. i believe my observation is right. testing it the second day, everything seems okay now. i would like to ask, what is the rate of % drop when you guys roaming? mine on batista 70 was having like 1% drop every 2.5 mins. using dolphin.

another question is, why the quadrant score in batista is lower? got 2.7k only while litening 4.2 got 3.6k. is batista undervolt or something?

overall, i like this phone a lot, but there is one thing i would like to complain, the battery charging is slow slow slow.....

1 how to and backup app and FAIL(gagal) haha~~ while backing up, turn off your phone...no lah, if root use Titanium backup, if not root use MyBackupPro
2 root is root and flash is like formatting your computer(lose all stuff if wiped!). on computer if you use windows update for service pack or upgrading from started to ultimate for example it is considered not wipe update. same applies here. for meaning and terminologies, read page one, then google first. after that still dont know then can ask here again.
3. page one got link.

what rom? try each one and stay with your likings. my personal recommendation, VillainROM.

Bro - tonite I in good mood ; so I already allocate 555 to you in the list of users ; next one will be 554

BTW I just flash Litening 5.0 about half hour ago. Good about Litening, it will not wipe data. I install on top of XXKG6 ( speedmod kernel)
XXKG6 battery life is obviously the best so far for me - guessetimate a 20% improvement; hope Litening will improve it further
*
Serious? Thanks, 555 is the same as my phone number thank you very much.

By the way, is kg6 really that good? May I flash litening on top of batista? Or just wait for batista kg6.

if u think it's troublesome to tweak the phones, then don't tweak it coz the current stock roms features are good enough for normal consumers. biggrin.gif
*
i mean other custom rom doesn't required to do so....so, not choosing villain...

Any solution for the SGS2 heating problem.
I can feel the heat when i was playing around the phone. ** not only playing for games**
*
try to install some widget and tell us what is your temperature, if 30-40 degree celcius, then normal. if you put it idle and it still hot then it may have problem, but since you said you are playing around, so cheer up.

Any idea on why batista got lower in quadrant? previous batista got 2.7k latest version can achieve 3.2moro only. While stock rom and listening can get above 3.2moro easily.

The kernel was tuned for battery saving rather than extreme performance. Wanted a fast one, get Speedmod, can get 4K on Batista.

*Quadrant is not a good benchmark btw. Another benchmark tools are CF-Bench or Antutu.
*
Nice, thank you. Battery is of higher priority. Thank you.

Interesting, from thunderbolt 15 to thunderbolt 16 from batista, score of quadrant achieved from 3k to 3.3k. Another things in my observation is opera consume less battery. Any idea on browser battery consumption?

flashed batista 70 3.4, and latest kernel, kernel thunderbolt 16.

smoothness: better than thunderbolt 15, even in air attack HD.

quadrant: 3.3k to 3.6k

battery: 3% drop over 8 hours (no wifi, no 3g, 2g network on)

satisfaction: 8/10

my next try, CM7, anyone tried the nightly 11?

Example of scenario when pink spot problem will become a trouble.
Here is a few pics. The bag picture was taken with direct sunlight coming from the door, pink spot is slightly visible but that consider medium light condition already I think.

If you want to ask me stop whining and go get my exchange, yes I will I'm just trying to do do a survey here.
If everyone has it I'm happy to live with it, no point going back to exchange since every phone will have it, it will only make other buyer getting an slightly used phone rather than a brand new one.
If not I can't justify my dissonance, it is like "We pay almost the same price for the same thing why you get a good product and I got a fault one?"
*
agreed, most of the phone have it, since most of the user here reported so, even in taiwan forum.

i use camera to take photo, so this is not an issue for me.

Downloading it now as we speak. I heard there is problem with alarm and some random reboots (this should be normal with Cm7 nightly build though). Not sure until I try out.

For me, the smooth-est, and best of all is still SensatioN among all. Really well made and bravo to the cook  rclxms.gif

interesting, you downloading cm7? yup, just found out that alarm problem in xda admitted by clockworkxx himself. i think i will stick with this rom, lazy to flash unless newer version out. i don't like the theme of the sensation rom, is just too fancy. but some is quite pretty. some said the solar rom is pretty good too.
