Whats the difference between storage media below:

System storage ?
USB storage ?
SD card (this is the external micro SDHC)

Also when i get this phone, the shop guy say i do not need microsdhc card, bcoz s2 16gb memory is more than enuff for normal use.
If i get an external microsdhc card let say 8gb, normally we only save photo, video, song in it only right?

Same ; the appropriate word is firmware
*
Benny,
Earlier I root my s2 with cf_root...kf1.tar from xda forum.
Now can I just upgrade its stock firmware to this one using odin?

Is the procedure same like upgrade to lite.ning rom?
Will this wipe clesn the s2?

You can just use ODIN to flash any firmware. The process is same as flashing Litening rom. New users I always advised stay away from samfirmware.com unless you understand what you are doing. Flashing firmware directly from samfirmware has cause many new users many problems leading to bricking , formatting off internal sd etc because users just follow blindly some rules without understanding
I'd suggest you stick to versions KG2 or KG3 obtained it from intratech at XDA. Even intratech advised not to flash this China firmware but I am still doing it just for testing purposes. Flashing official firmware will wipe your phone clean
*
TQ bro for advise, for time being, I will stick to the stock KF1 firmware...smile.gif
TQ.

Or maybe in future will try flash to Lite'ning firmware 1st.

Just flash I9100ZNKG5 from samfirmware.com - and result unsuccessful and phone bricked !!! Anyway, small problem - I unbricked it and restore back to my XXKG3 backup. So guys, if you want to try - remember the risk. Have a good backup first before attempting
*
TQ for the info bro. For newbie like me, its better to stick to stock kf1 or lite'ning if wanna upgrade.

If s2 bricked, i will cry bcoz i dunno what to do.

You need to have a GMail account setup first before you can access market. If you have the account done, two possibilities:

- your password is wrong
- your internet connection is weak - try to use wireless first
*
Benny,'

one question about accessing Market.

I used Sensation earlier, and I use my gmail login to access it.

Now i pass the phone to my wife. How can she edit the login gmail a/c to her gmail login pls?

I believe there's no edit can be done. You have to factory reset your Sensation and then let your wife register a new Gmail in order to access market.
*
TQ bro, Factory reset is goto setting and set to factory default?
This will wipe clean the phone (as if the phone is come out fresh from the box) right?

Or need to do software reset and hardware reset like Benny post in Page 1 Post 1 ?

No ; you misunderstand. He wants his wife to sign in on her gmail on his old phone which is using his Gmail ID
Of course you can use your own Gmail and sign on more than one phone ; I am using one same gmail on my SGS2, my GTab, Dell Streak, Iconia  etc

Just do Factory Data reset for my Sensation and pass to my wife to use.

Re-sync contacts, calendar etc....
Re-install Whatapps, Viber, Tango etc......

Now it works like a charm, she is happy.
I m happy with my SGS2.

My SGS2 oledi root with ...KF1....tar by Odin, and still with stock Firmware.

May wanna upgrade to Lite'ning firmware as this is for beginner.

Procedure for Using Odin to root and flash new ROM.

- Already ROOT my S2 using Odin, with CF-root..KF1...tar. No problem at all for the rooting procedure, lucky me.

Below are which i feel should be the procedure for backup existing ROM and Flashing new ROM: (CORRECT??)
(Backup the existing ROM)
1. Goto - Setting/Application/Development/USB debugging(checked).
2. press "volume up"+"home"+"power" to go into CWM Recovery mode. Use the volume keys to navigate, and the home key to select.
3. Backup the entire existing ROM,
4. "wipe clean cache partition",
5. and in ADvanced mode - "clear Dalvik cache".

(Flash new ROM)
1.Continue with procedure like ROOT, but this time, select the upgraded ROM file (such as ........tar.md5)

My above procedure correct kah??

WRONG
you use recovery to install firmware in zip format
if rom is in tar format you use odin to flash
*
TQ Benny,

Can educate how to backup existing ROM pls?

your backup procedure is correct
*
OH OK TQ bro.
So my backup procedure is correct, that will be a relief hahhaha.

In case my phone mati, i can restore the entire existing rom back and it instantly back to its original state.

So after flash to new Litening rom, no need to do anything on the Kernel oledi right?
The new Litening rom also installed new Kernel right?

Sory for asking so many question.

yes, just enter recovery and select your backup, litening will install the new kernal
this is not good lol it's definitely not worth the 125 budget, i bet mostly everyone plugs their phone into their chargers whenever they get the chance.
*
Huh?
if go back to Recovery and select the backup ROM file, wont it install back the OLD Rom ?
