I think Carroll will come good this coming season. Well at least i hope so. The club knows he requires good service and has gone trying to fix it. When all being fit, we will have Gerrard, Aurelio, Downing and Adam to provide all the service he needs.

There's also the possibility of going with Kuyt up top with the likes of Gerrard, Downing and Suarez supporting him. Kuyt is deceptively strong in the air as it is. Going down this route makes it more the vital to keep Aqualani tho. Just think about the amount of creativity and mobility we're able to unleash.

Shitty defense. Where is last season defense? The defense totally screw up after Sammy Lee left. Coincidence? Same players, same tactic and we screw up. Maybe absence of reina is one of the factor but definitely not the only factor.

Don't think it's down to Sammy Lee. Perhaps we expect too much of Flanagan, Kelly and Robinson even though Flano and Kelly played really well. I could still see their potential at Bkt Jalil but they have yet to reach a high level of consistency.

We were also missing senior defenders in last nite's game although one guy's seniority may really be working against him more and more,..and I'm referring to our vice-captain. Of course, he is one of the pillars but he really is slowing down and making more mistakes.

Let's see how the team does in Turkey and Norway. I'm still optimistic but I certainly don't envy Dalglish's task ahead.

liverpool missing something here. they so passion about buying new winger and forgetting about new solid cb. this might not be an issue if agger can stay fit and not an injury prone player.

Agger and Skrtel should be sold, buy a pair of Big size, Tall , Young central defenders. We hav good young Left and Right back.

Yes, agree that the centre backs are our weakest positions at present. Read that KD is also looking to bring in Rodallega. icon_rolleyes.gif

on the bright side...defeat on pre season will have positive effect on the team...the players will work doubly hard, the manager knew what tactical to use on certain players & also the mistakes will be corrected

"Sloppy goals"?. They weren't sloppy goals! Hull scored some wonderful goals except the 3rd. Downing did impress , he needs time..

The result would definitely not feared by KD, he would turn this result around in the next 2 friendlies and march on towards beginning of the season.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard could miss the first two months of the season due to second groin injury - report

How reliable is this report? 2 months? Seriously? blink.gif
