It's a HUGE different to our 6-3.. If not for the linesman want to give face to 'the bigger team' it could have been 0-0..

QUOTE(Rotuham @ Jul 22 2011, 12:24 PM) No doubt all of these will be conveniently forgotten by manc fans. Not that I want to defend the Mancs fans. But I think most of these trollers who kacau other fans forum and wearing Mancs jerseys to other clubs game vs Malaysia are glory hunters with immature mind trying to prove themselves as a Mancs supporter. Notice more of these GH recently (esp after their recent no.19).Instead we get negative publicity and flak from media. The sooner they go down the better for us. |

Suarez is the kind of player who brings up the spirit and confidence to the team. Caroll is lacking in confidence at the moment. Hopefully his partnership with Suarez will bring back his confidence and form which help to promote Newcastle 2 seasons ago.
Imagine in form Caroll + in-form Suarez = premier league! |

Galatasaray is a much stronger team compared to Hull. Besides, we've been using 2nd string players for most of the pre season especially for last night game. It's not easy to judge a team without Gerrard, Johnson, Carra, Suarez, Lucas, Downing, Adam, Henderson, Skrtel, Agger and Maxi against a well prepared injury free Galatasaray at their own back yard, I think it was a fair result. A draw would be good with this young team, a win would have been excellent.
But it's a good run out mainly for the youngster. |

QUOTE(redkord @ Jul 29 2011, 09:35 AM) I think KK trying to give as much match time to all players as much as possible. Carroll and Cole got full 90 mins last night. He did mentioned he will bring Downing, Adam and Henderson to Norway for our next friendly. Even Ngog also didn't play in last nights game. So it will be a very different (and much stronger) team against Valerenga in our next friendly. Hopefully the new trio will get full 90 mins in that game. Still waiting for official Gerrard news. Only rumors regarding his 'new' injury so far. This post has been edited by weichieh007: Jul 29 2011, 09:56 AM |

QUOTE(REDShaun @ Jul 29 2011, 09:57 AM) Saw the streaming live match. Cheer up bro.. If you did watch the live streaming, you would have notice that how understrength the team was at Istanbul last night.. To be fair, we look out of sorts. And Carroll is still waiting to delivery service from DHL/Fedex. In short, it was disappointing as much as any game. Pre-seasons or not, we should not be this leaky in defence. Galatasaray is a good team but like Hull, they should not be putting 3 pass us. Anyway, onwards to the next game. On positive note, Aqulani had some good touches and passes in the 2nd half. He almost scored also.. |

QUOTE(REDShaun @ Jul 29 2011, 10:42 AM) Under strength or not, it was still really leaky bro. and we have acknowledged more than once that the depth in the squad is far from ideal. The year we got to the CL final 06/07, we lost to Mainz 5-0; Hyypia, Gerrard, riise, Bellamy, carragher and alonso all played in that match.but yes, Aquaman was looking a nice fit in midfield only praying his deal with Fior does not fall through. If given his performance so far, he will be a fit with suarez in terms of tricky football. Although it depends whether he still wants to fit inĀ This post has been edited by weichieh007: Jul 29 2011, 10:52 AM |

And luckily we won't have a friendly with Espanol. Maybe we should organize a friendly with Mainz and let them beat us 5-0 again, no? Just trying to look at positive side of things my friend.. Added on July 29, 2011, 11:03 amI can't imagine what'll happened if Gerrard, Adam, Suarez, Henderson and Downing played while we still lose 3-0. Riot?! QUOTE(vreis @ Jul 29 2011, 11:15 AM) Just trying to paint a realistic picture my friend... Realistically, this will not be the same team that will start against Sunderland come August 13. There's no point spending 50million on new players just to start with yesterdays team for our first game of the campaign. The only player apart from Carroll and Kuyt who have a chance to be on the team sheet this August will be Aquilani.Doesn't matter who played, the ones playing are deemed worthy of first team & most are internationals (incl Degen By the looks of it, it'll be tough to gain back CL place as one of Ski, Man U, Gunners or City will have to drop out. Not to mention Spurs breathing down our neck. Oh shit, I sounds like Maddie I believe the last 2 pre season friendly will justify Kenny's credentials. |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Jul 30 2011, 07:45 AM) Idiots judge pre season friendlies.......most of the players are for sale! Exactly, it's like judging a reserve team and blaming the first team for bad performance when they were not even involve.. |
