To be fair, the value of both teams' spending cannot be deduced yet, because we havent seen the new buys play on a regular basis for their new team.

1) Henderson and Jones are both GAMBLEs, despite what united and pool fans may think. Its always a gamble to buy youngsters at such a high price.

2) Ashley Young v Downing - I have to say on paper Young looks the better buy, but again, new team, new style of play. It could go either way.

3) Charlie Adam - Scoring 12 goals and 8 Assists in all competition for Blackpool (a relegated team) seems pretty darn decent in my opinion.

4) David De Gea I would say can also go either way, he conceded 53 goals last season and 28 goals in 19 games the previous season in the La Liga. Man U only conceded 37 goals all season last season and 28 goals the previous season.

So to determine which party has the better business value, we'd have to see how the season pans out. I wont say liverpool have the better deal, because I will obviously be biased in deducing everything.

Agger and Skrtel should be sold, buy a pair of Big size, Tall , Young central defenders. We hav good young Left and Right back.

Are you serious? Carra and Skrtel not good enough? You ppl only look at the score line of those friendlies and criticize freely without even looking at the players who actually played in those games. Skrtel did not even feature in any of those friendlies and how many halves was Carra involved? Give me a break..
