yeah bout this i noticed too..

when i charge my battery...
when idle it charges so fast!!!

but i play games.... waseh.. few hours aso haven charge finish....

Your net wattage goes to your battery tongue.gif
Is like... there's a max wattage your laptop can take, then the wattage part minus one part for the work and then the remaining goes for the battery??
If yes then it explains why high end laptops have such big power bricks hmm.gif

Since money isn't a problem,I would buy DV6-6114tx if I were you.Not a quite fair competition here,dv6-6114tx is more expensive compared to the others two.  tongue.gif

But seems like from what the sifus are saying, they'd pick the asus n55sf over the hp dv6, even though its cheaper. :/ Cuz I can get the dv6 at a cheaper price, so was wondering if it would be a better option.

Doesn't seem right, a RM3799 laptop being lousier than a RM2799 one.

Ohh! No wonder. I don't follow laptops at all, so logically it just doesn't make sense. tongue.gif
So it still comes down to the n55sf after all.. smile.gif

Okay, then how bout compared to the newer HP Pavilion dv6-6001TX?

Before thinking that i7>i5, do note that processors are optimized tongue.gif
For more gaming-effective one, get an i5. For more intensive heavy calculation, get an i7

That only applies to Arrendale processors... for Sandy Bridge, bigger is better brows.gif
The deciding factor is whether one really need the extra power or not? If not, then its better to opt for the i5 which generates less heat and uses less power thumbup.gif

Ok wait, so both the Dv6-6114Tx and n55sf are new models? Then what did Ivan mean when he said the n55sf is newer batch? o.O

Dv6-6114Tx is relatively newer than the Dv6-6001Tx, that's all laugh.gif
The N55sf has just been release around one week plus ago, so its newer; but that doesn't mean the Dv6 sucks hehe~
If budget permits, Dv6 is still better in terms of gaming performance than the N55Sf laugh.gif

Damn, this decision is becoming harder and harder to make.. tongue.gif

So dv6 more for gaming, n55sf more for multimedia? And do you know of any place that sells ones without beats, meaning it would cost about 3k?

Also, how are the customer service as well as international warranties for hp and asus? As i'd be going overseas.

For HP Dv6-6001Tx without beats@RM3k, find this guy: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&hl=marcus20125

Well, do take note that Asus comes with 2 years international warranty; whereas HP only one (unless you want to fork out some more money to extend the warranty)...
The choice is pretty obvious lol...
Performance - Dv6
Warranty - N55Sf

and since HP has decided to quit its PC business.. its hard to say what the future holds laugh.gif

Well, for starters, the stock AMD 6630 has some problems playing The Sims 3 doh.gif
And Bacon will ask you each time you start a new game/ software on whether you want to use the dedicated GPU or integrated one... the thing is, its supposed to remember the settings so the next time you open the game/ software, it won't ask you again... but the time I tried, Bacon seemed to "forget" my settings, so its rather annoying laugh.gif
But that was quite some time ago, hopefully the problem has been solved already
