Guys, how was the N55SF-S2043V
Any others lappy having the same spec with N55SF-S2043V but cheaper price
*
Nope laugh.gif
Closest would be the Lenovo Y570 with slightly poorer GPU performance, and a slightly lower resolution screen. haha
The i5 variant of the N55sf is worth it imho if you're okay with the design laugh.gif

so basically the a43ta can handle many games to come, just that its not so good when it comes to cpu-intensive tasks, right? so , does it make it on par with the i5?

Under RM 3.5K depends the spec.
Asus has 2 years international. Dell has one year default, but onsite warranty.

Okay, got a change of budget. I can afford bout <3k. Any new recommendations, or do dell xps 15z and asus n55sf 's lower specs models still fit the bill?

Guys, need your recommendation for a new laptop for university.

Brand : A reliable one. (good international service as i'll be going overseas for studies )

Price : Below 3k

Size : maybe 14' or 15' ?

Usage : mid level gaming, movies, surfing.

If you guys need any more info, pls ask. Not sure what other info you need to determine a suitable laptop for me. :/ Also, maybe you guys could give me a couple of choices so i could go down to lowyat plaza to have a look at the laptops. THanks in advance guys!

mean duckies's n55sf i5 is same exactly as n45sf i5.... 4.7... 90W....
but yea. we thought so too..
but din test this out...

btw..
is it dangerous??? as in plugging 120W in a 90W intended lappy?
*
I don't think plugging in a 120W in a 90W intended lappy is harmful,
The Cooler Master USNA95 I have can go 190W, but then my laptop uses way much less than that, yet it's working fine. Higher wattage can charge my battery faster too tongue.gif

it loses to both of them specs wise....

n55sf wins them both specs wise..

the xps is older gen cpu... gpu also nt strong.....

the y570... gt555m is a much more crippled card...

it goesd like this...

top notch gt555m is in alienware m14x...
then below it is gt555m in n55sf....

then below more is the one in y570.. yes. it's weird so many versions of the same card.. but yeah.. weird stuff happens sumtimes...XD

xps 15 JBL speakers are better than the speakers in n55sf.. if u don't count in n55sf's external subwoofer...

Haha thanks so much ivan! You guys pretty much have given me no reason not to get the n55sf.

Ok, will be going to get one, one of these days then. smile.gif Though, can't really get much reviews on the n55sf when doing a quick google search. The only one i got was
http://gadgets.ndtv.com/shownews.aspx?id=G...002&Sec=REVIEWS
and
http://laptopreviewshop.com/review-asus-n55sf.html
which gives mixed reviews.

Looking for light notepad for daily use. Need to bring from class to class (working as teacher).

- Normal MsOffice work
- Internet
- Some light Photoshop
- No games but some internet game (facebook smile.gif )
- HD movie just add

As cheap as possible. Budget below Rm1500 only.

Check at a shop, Lenovo G475 look nice. But good or not? My technician said have bad experience with Lenovo. He suggest dell or Asus.

din use b4...

is we see and read frm benchmarks and reviews from sites. XD

cpu wise.. it loses to i3 slightly..

gpu wise..

onpar with gt540m.... theoretically.. can go better than gt540m... better than my card.. XD

games has always been bottlenecked by gpu power.. so now they stuff better gpu power into a cheaper notebook. but the trade off is not as good cpu....(bu.. BUT.. it is still enuf to run all ur daily task and etc nicely... phtoshop will run.. no probs.. just not as fast..)

i've touched it b4.. build is ok.. would recommend it. XD

basically it's like that..

priced at 1.8k.... those that cant extend their budget to 2k .... this is the best allrounder....
