Don't forget U46SV has a more 'unique' design and is also slimmer and lighter.

I have a tough choice too, U46SV or N45SF.
Now that is a more challenging matter. Portability or performance? |

Oh no, if I was given a choice for U46SV and N43SL, I'll take the U46SV since both the specs are the same.
But with the N45SF in the equation, better specs at a lower price really messes up the decision. |

QUOTE(AlexLai @ Aug 24 2011, 08:23 PM) I have a tough choice too, U46SV or N45SF. Its quite an easy choice now since there are problems with the N45sf's GPU Now that is a more challenging matter. Portability or performance? But if both laptops are working fine, rather irrationally, I'd go for the U46Sv Added on August 24, 2011, 9:37 pm QUOTE(ltw82 @ Aug 24 2011, 07:39 PM) ur right... is already listed inside the customization spec sheet... Here are the reviews: how is the ventilation of 3550..? good for daily use..? tried call dell sales person and they say the price is fix, everthing will be same as online... http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-V...ok.53227.0.html http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptops/de...ostro-3550.aspx Its quite a good laptop And the price is not "fixed", try chatting online/ calling with multiple sales agents and deal with the one that gives you the best deal. Or you could PM viper88 and check out his offers as well How much discount you get depends very much on how hard you're willing to get them Happy hunting~ Added on August 24, 2011, 9:40 pm QUOTE(soulz9377 @ Aug 24 2011, 08:55 PM) still duno which type of laptop to get.. Quite a number of Sager units e.g. NP8150, 8170 etc. also comes with AMD HD6990; but all of them are more than RM6k. Same thing for AW M17x... anyone can suggest? budget= 5-6k usage= gaming and normal work use You can take a look at Sager units here: http://www.illegear.com/15-inch-to-16-inch...ger-np8130.html This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Aug 24 2011, 09:40 PM |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Aug 24 2011, 09:32 PM) Its quite an easy choice now since there are problems with the N45sf's GPU Why don't someone just use a 120W power adapter and see whether that helps with the situation? Throttling might occur due to over consumption of power as well. But if both laptops are working fine, rather irrationally, I'd go for the U46Sv |

Shouldn't be. You're basically giving the laptop a larger supply of juice that's all.

QUOTE(nytenyte @ Aug 25 2011, 10:52 AM) yo guys,i'm interested in the new asus a43ta. The Asus A43Ta sacrifices CPU power for more GPU power for that price range. Its the ideal choice if you're on a budget and are keen on gaming But then I think you should check and see whether there are any CPU intensive programs you're required to use in your Uni course. Minor photoshopping should be fine, but if you're working on more "intense" Photoshop works, the CPU will probably struggle Still, I've seen the real laptop.... the build is good, and has N series' keyboard design + 2 years international warranty |
