Don't forget U46SV has a more 'unique' design and is also slimmer and lighter.

wanted better speakers (reason to choose n43sl) but u46sv is lighter and slimmer and it has better built quality rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

I have a tough choice too, U46SV or N45SF.

Now that is a more challenging matter. Portability or performance? laugh.gif

Oh no, if I was given a choice for U46SV and N43SL, I'll take the U46SV since both the specs are the same.

But with the N45SF in the equation, better specs at a lower price really messes up the decision.

Its quite an easy choice now since there are problems with the N45sf's GPU laugh.gif
But if both laptops are working fine, rather irrationally, I'd go for the U46Sv doh.gif doh.gif

how is the ventilation of 3550..? good for daily use..?
sweat.gif
tried call dell sales person and they say the price is fix, everthing will be same as online...

Here are the reviews:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-V...ok.53227.0.html
http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptops/de...ostro-3550.aspx

Its quite a good laptop nod.gif

And the price is not "fixed", try chatting online/ calling with multiple sales agents and deal with the one that gives you the best deal.
Or you could PM viper88 and check out his offers as well nod.gif
How much discount you get depends very much on how hard you're willing to get them brows.gif
Happy hunting~

Quite a number of Sager units e.g. NP8150, 8170 etc. also comes with AMD HD6990; but all of them are more than RM6k. Same thing for AW M17x...
You can take a look at Sager units here: http://www.illegear.com/15-inch-to-16-inch...ger-np8130.html

Why don't someone just use a 120W power adapter and see whether that helps with the situation? Throttling might occur due to over consumption of power as well.

Different amperage apparently. 4.7A vs 6.3A should be 90W and 120W.

Shouldn't be. You're basically giving the laptop a larger supply of juice that's all.

yo guys,i'm interested in the new asus a43ta. icon_rolleyes.gif its the one using the new llano processor. i'm in uni. so most of the time, i'll be typing documents, presentations, web browsing, some decent photo editing and i'll be needing it for gaming as well. i'm not a hardcore gamer but would really like to play all the recent ,and upcoming, games as well. i tried searching the web but so far i havent found a detailed review of this laptop. its surprisingly cheap and i would like to know if its really good cause i'll probably wont get a chance to but a new notebook anytime soon[ more like a few years ] :sweat:thanks in advance!

The Asus A43Ta sacrifices CPU power for more GPU power for that price range. Its the ideal choice if you're on a budget and are keen on gaming nod.gif
But then I think you should check and see whether there are any CPU intensive programs you're required to use in your Uni course. Minor photoshopping should be fine, but if you're working on more "intense" Photoshop works, the CPU will probably struggle laugh.gif

Still, I've seen the real laptop.... the build is good, and has N series' keyboard design + 2 years international warranty thumbup.gif
