QUOTE(creepy_ghost @ Aug 19 2011, 06:21 PM) thank you guys for the advice.......i will get the 5560g as soon as i enter uni...hehe Assuming that A6 has the same power rating as an i5-2410M then I'd say yes, beyond 3 hoursbtw, does anyone know the 5560g total usage of battery life? does it reach 3 hours on light usage as playing internet and do a little ms word...when playing game is not considered? |

QUOTE(strictly @ Aug 19 2011, 07:23 PM) XPS 15 have better speaker and could have better screen..While DV6 has the better GPU.. Without beats, is depends on the reseller.. Basing on similar system, the Asus K53TA (56Wh) can idle until 6 hours, but the Acer 5560G has the smaller battery capacity (48Wh), most likely idle for 5 hours.. So, 3 hours light usage is possible.. This post has been edited by lee_what2004: Aug 19 2011, 11:03 PM |

Dear sifus,
I need some recomendationon new notebook/netbook. If you can pls recomend a few for me, so i can do some comparison. Brand: Any brand. Budget: RM3k to RM4k Usage: Normal usage (Not a gamer or graphic designer here), but i still prefer a reasonably up to date processor, such as icore, as i intend to use it >3yrs or longer. Size: lightweight, say <1.8kg (<4lbs) if there's any as light as macbook air would be great but i dun think so there's any. I need to run on windows, so i need to exclude macbook air. Further i do not intend to learn to use new operating system such as Lion. Other infos: Long battery hours, say above 6hrs. Doesn't heat up easily. A few that cross my mind was Protege and Acer timeline X, which i know of about couple of years ago. SO not sure whether theres something better now. Thank you |

Hi any sifu pls guide me
Need to buy a laptop for use at place of work. my last laptop bought was about 7 years ago. My needs are :- Budget - roughly Rm3k Any Brand Screen size no idea, Does it make a difference between 13, 14 and 15 inch cause normally i will drive and the only carrying is to and fro from carpark. Definetely would not lug it around shopping. But do need to bring it when i am travelling overseas. Usage:- Normally i will open about 100 odd tabs in firefox when surfing, i surf 70% of the time. listening to mp3 while surfing Some minor ofc work Heavy downloading daily even when surfing or gaming (at least 20Gb a day) Gaming - currently shogun 2 total war battery standby is not an issue cause normally i will unplugged it and use main plug for power. Heat is an issue cause i will use it at least 12 hours non stop in non air-cond enviorement. One last question should i wait until end of the year, is there more model launching then? QUOTE(97th Mobile @ Aug 19 2011, 11:47 PM) Hi any sifu pls guide me A 13 incher would probably be more convenient when you bring it with you when you go abroad.... but then since you game, a 14" would have better specs and probably lesser heat Need to buy a laptop for use at place of work. my last laptop bought was about 7 years ago. Can consider: Asus N45Sf-V2g-VX013v [black], i5-2410M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB)@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen]; USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer N43SL (Jay-Chou edition), i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M (2GB)@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen], *USB3.0, Colors: Gold/Red U46Sv-WX023v, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M@RM2999[2.14kg]; USB3.0, Asus optical mouse Lenovo Y470, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT550M@RM2999[JBL] *Extend warranty to 3 years Since your usage is rather heavy, would be good to have warranty |
