Yeah, Lion on Asus P6T really rocks, blazing fast....learning how to mod DSDT really makes me want to faint (at last I give up),so I just use a ready made DSDT which is really fast from here (http://www.fleebailey33.org/). He is using BIOS 1004 (IIRC). I'm using tonymac's Chimera 1.6.0. I have to install it manually cause my new Seagate Barracuda 500GB can be installed automatically using the installer....

Slow slow learn how to mod DSDT...beter learn from intel or gigabyte mobo 1st..after da u can try to edit ur asus mobo dsdt. tell u da asus mobo dsdt ..the code inside is much different compare to intel or gigabyte mobo ..for example like proc core and Device RTC
asus ; Processor (P001, 0x01, 0x00000810, 0x06) Device (RTC0)
gigabyte ; Processor (CPU0, 0x00, 0x00000410, 0x06) Device (RTC)
HP Processor (P001, 0x01, 0x00000810, 0x06) Device (RTC0)
intel Processor (CPU0, 0x00, 0x00000410, 0x06) Device (RTC)
u can follow hp desktop mobo DSDT(bout 99% same )to mobo ur asus DSDT mod a litter bit then test it ...u can check it from IORegistryExplorer
i take bout a month time mod my x58 ud3r mobo DSDT

I've givenup trying to get DSDT to work on my p8z68-v pro motherboard. None of the autopatchers work so ended up using the hda enabler + some other kexts to get the sound and network card working. I've got the speedstepper to work by modifying the bios.

Getting Started

Guys,
I have been reading up about running mac since I bought my new PC. I ran VMware but it could not detect my mouse. Says it cannot install the mouse because host is running it.
I was really thinking I could run parallel windows and mac. This is my system: MSI P67A-C45 Motherboard Intel Core i5-2500k Gigabyte AMD Radeon 6850 4GB DDR3 Ram
If cant use virtualisation, what about dual boot? Please let me know where to look for tutorials also, thanks.

@speedtobeat, if you've other Mac, you can go ahead with Lion otherwise go through SL first, here is the guide to get SL working on your mobo: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=11702

QUOTE(Paisy @ Nov 14 2011, 11:53 AM) PH55M-LE can hackintosh or not ? Yeah your mobo can do hackintosh, just go here (http://www.tonymacx86.com/dsdt.php) and grab the DSDT file (make sure you are using bios 0706) and follow tonymacx86's guides on his blog.

Thanks @wiraone,
If I am to go ahead straight with Lion, will I need iBoot, BridgeHelper and MultiBeast?
How about dual boot, what would I need to do?

@speedtobeat, you need unibeast instead if you go ahead using tonymac method. For dual boot, don't have much experience on this, did it once, went to install SL then Win7 and fixed the boot with chameleon (using multibeast).. but I ditch the dualboot and use VM Fusion instead. I don't have much experience working on MSI and you may need to look for help in tonymac or insanelymac forums.

Guys I have a problem with my SL installation. I am using Gigabyte g31m es2l mobo. I got the retail disk and did all the stuff to create the snow usb installer.
But when I boot up the installer, I get stuck at the preparing installation screen after choosing language.
I looked up on the net to find solutions, and many recommended enabling AHCI in bios.. But I couldn't find AHCI in my BIOS... Any help? Thanks!

QUOTE(wiraone @ Nov 18 2011, 07:17 AM) Set the SATA mode to Enhanced in your BIOS. Still not working Anyway, here is the spec of my system. Gigabyte G31M ES2L Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.6Ghz 2 x Kingston 2 Gb RAM Radeon x1650 512mb I tried following this guide at first. But I got stuck after I insert the CD and then put the SL Retail DVD, it says BOOTMGR is Missing. http://osx86.co/f36/guide-gigabyte-g31m-es...tutorial-t3187/Then I followed this guide, but when I reach the preparing installation screen I got stuck :/ http://osx86.co/f57/guide-retail-snow-leop...for-g31m-t3672/There no AHCI setting on my BIOS, so I did what wiraone told, Enhanced Sata but still not working. Any help?

If you check the postings found in google that are related to your mobo, it seems that many have problem using SL 10.6.3 boot disk but they've successfully booted up using 10.6.0. Since you've the legit 10.6.3, why not find a "way" of getting the 10.6.0 and start from there. Then do a combo update to 10.6.8.

QUOTE(totally_skint @ Nov 19 2011, 02:42 AM) What's the difference between the different OSX distros? Distros? You mean the releases? They're all releases, no such thing as distors for OSX .. 10.4 was Tiger, 10.5 was Leopard, 10.6 was Snow Leopard and 10.7 now is Lion. This post has been edited by wiraone: Nov 19 2011, 09:10 AM
