This is my first time trying the Hackintosh on my i7 Nehalem system, so far so goos everything works fine except my external usb DVD ROM drive can't be detected...

Initially install 10.7.0 and upgraded with 10.7.2 Update Combo. I'm using the USB installation (prepared with Extra Lion DP4 and Chameleon bootloader). Post installation using Multibeast. I'm using DSDT.aml file (got it from the net) to make the system sleep and QE/CI works like charm. The only kext I'm using is for the onboard Realtek ALC1200 HDA.
Here is my system specs :

Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 x64
Intel Core i7 920 running stock clock at 2.67GHz
Asus P6T Motherboard Bios 1004
Nvidia GTX 260
18GB DDR3 Kingston RAM

I never use the autosleep function as sometimes I'm downloading big files...I normally use the manual sleep function and it works....

Yeah tonymac seems prefer Gigabyte boards....I had a tough time researching for support on my Asus P6T board especially the DSDT.aml file that really works on my board and audio kext....My installation was not that difficult. It was a straight Lion 10.7.0 installtion the dated to 10.7.2.

Using Unibeast + Multibeast were really easy...

Asus P6T is good for hackintosh...but DSDT is a bit hard to mod..i also blur blur when i help my fren edit his asus mobo dsdt ..emmm i think is p5k pro (no much remember)
the code is much different compare to intel or gigabyte

@tot31 mind to let us know what bootloader and version of bootloader u using ??
*
Yeah, Lion on Asus P6T really rocks, blazing fast....learning how to mod DSDT really makes me want to faint (at last I give up),so I just use a ready made DSDT which is really fast from here (http://www.fleebailey33.org/). He is using BIOS 1004 (IIRC).

I'm using tonymac's Chimera 1.6.0. I have to install it manually cause my new Seagate Barracuda 500GB can be installed automatically using the installer....

PH55M-LE can hackintosh or not ?
*
Yeah your mobo can do hackintosh, just go here (http://www.tonymacx86.com/dsdt.php) and grab the DSDT file (make sure you are using bios 0706) and follow tonymacx86's guides on his blog.

Hi,

I just got to run the vmware version of Lion OS. I want to install Unibeast on my pen drive and dual boot it. But my dmg file is already in the /Applications like in the tonymac guide, but the Unibeast installation fails, and when checked in forums, they said I have to purchase original Lion OS. Is there other ways? Tq guys, have been trying hard and for so long time already. Haih...

Go to Applications folder create a folder called Install Mac OS X Lion, then go to the Install Mac OS X Lion folder, create a folder called Contents, then go to the Contents folder create a folder called Shared Support. You should have these /Applications/Install Mac OS X Lion/Contents/SharedSupport. Copy the InstallESD.dmg file into the SharedSupport folder. Something like this

Now go back to Applications folder and put .app extension at the end of Install Mac OS X Lion folder, it will warn you just say Yes.

It will be like this user posted image

Now run again the UniBeast and you will be ok...

Hope this will hekp you.

@tot31,

Still can't Unibeast failed. Create the folder already, change to .app, then still cannot complete. I used the original file name, "h-ml1072.dmg", then changed to "InstallESD.dmg" also cannot work.

Should I try other installers?

that one is f***ed.....I've tried that before.... sad.gif Get a retail from Apple Store....

You should go here and read the in depth details explaining Multibeast

i. http://www.mymac4music.com/2011/08/hackint...ion-multibeast/

ii. http://www.mymac4music.com/2011/08/hackint...ings-in-detail/

I had trouble like you before when using Multibeast as I was blindly tick the options but after reading through those links, I finally understand and my installation went smoothly.

As for your LAN, you can use Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver (it's in Multibeast)

And for your audio, you can use ALC8xxHDA driver (also in Multibeast)

is it possible to run mac os inside virtual box? the online tutorial seems quite difficult...
*
yes, it's possible. In fact I ran mac os on virtual box and vmware before I fully migrated it into full installation and now running Windows 7 on vmware fusion.

I am using Mac OS X software RAID0 for both my bootable disks (2 hdds) and data disks (3 hdds). There is a guide on tonymac's forum on how to insatall boot loader on RAID0 drives.
