Yes, just drag the .kext file to the app as instructed. It will put the kext into the correct folder and do the necessary stuff to active it.

For dual monitor, yes, do check the dual LCDs guide at tonymacx86, you need to do few things to get it running.

Here is mine when both are recognised:

Sorry... Was using my phone earlier.... Couldn't  view.
K, I saw ur capture......u are using 5770.... Just a single hop from my 5750 and h have both present, on board n the card. Hmmm.... Can you tell me which setting in bios u meddled with for the graphics....

Thanx u hav been very helpful.... thumbup.gif  biggrin.gif

It seems that your motherboard has only D-sub port (VGA) and Mavericks doesn't support VGA output anymore, so I don't think you could use the internal GPU. Now guess the only way to go forward is to get your 5750 kext to work.

Great to know that you got yours working now, just realised the GC has two outputs smile.gif Triple monitors requires you to use the internal GPU I guess since your motherboard has only VGA, this won't be supported. But you could stream to AppleTV if you've one by enabling the internal GPU.

On the WIFI hardware, I'm using the TP-Link which work out of box. Do check the discussion board in tonymacx86, under 10.9 network section.

Ic, I am thinking of getting an USB adapter type, for flexibility....since I can use it on other machines as well. Is Prolink ok ? http://download.prolink2u.com/br/br_PAN2001_29.08.2012.pdf any reason I shoudnt get this ?
It is suppose to be Mac compatible.

Any tp-link USB adapters that works wit a Mac ? Thx...
*
Have no idea really, do check for what is working with Mac in tonymacx86 forum. If the adapter comes with a Mac driver, then they're okay.

Dude, whn u mentioned that, all tp link adapters work out of the box..... Did u mean that tp link driver are incorporated in the  multibeast ? Coz evry tp link adapter I check out ... Does not mention it is Mac compatible. So I am sure that there won't be any drivers included for Macs. Even the model u mentioned does not state that it is Mac compatible, so whr did u get the driver for it .... Thx
*
Not all are working out of the box, tplink doesn't provide drivers, most of their products use the same chipset as what Apple use, that is why they're working without third party drivers. You need to search around, I don't think there is a list available. Check tonymacx86 forum, here is the link: http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/ .. and check insanelymac forum http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/forum/152-lan-and-wireless/ ..

Ah, you bring this a bit late, otherwise I've just go ahead testing the clover setup on my daughter's PC. smile.gif Went ahead with the unibeast/multibeast thingy yesterday and had hellotof problem with the GT430 graphics card, got it to work once but played around with the multibeast and gone the display to blank .. grr.. lastly, swapped the GC with Radeon one and everything okay. Now just need to get the shutdown to work properly.

Nah, I couldn't start the installer at all using clover. Hahaha.. anyway, have you rerun clover setup on your newly installed OS? Following the guide, what you need to do:

1. Create a USB installer using clover.
2. Install the OSX using USB installer.
3. Done with OSX installation, boot to your OSX using USB installer.
4. Run clover again, install this time to the HDD where you install the OSX.

BTW, I'm almost given up now installing 10.9 using Nvidia GT430 card.

Haha, me given up on clover, did another installation using unibeast, managed to not getting black screen now after forcing the display mode in the bootup command line. Upgraded it to latest 10.9.4, everything seems smooth now, had problem with the shutdown, deleting one kext seems to solved this.

Anyway, the specs that I did my reinstallation:

Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3-U1D UEFI BIOS
Intel i5
Nvidia GT430
8GB RAM
1TB HDD

To get the installation smooth, I had to use the following boot parameters:

-x GraphicsEnabler=Yes Mode=1920x1080x32

With UEFI bios, I don't need any DSDT file, so, in multibeast setting, I selected the option with no DSDT, profile selected is MacPro3,1 and SSDT optimised for i5.

I've also installed the official Nvidia Coda driver.

To get the shutdown problem resolved, I need to remove RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext from /S/L/E folder.

U guys mind telling me what is the advantage of using clover rather than unibeast... smile.gif
*
Supposedly with UEFI BIOS, it will be much easier to install using clover compared to unibeast, but I found it otherwise. Probably I'm very used to unibeast .. but I've tried creating the clover USB boot drive twice, both failed to boot up the installer.

Hey guys. Flat out noob here regarding hackintosh systems. I've found a guide on how to turn my machine into a hackintosh, nearly 1-1 guide. But I'm stuck at the OS part.

I will definitely go and just buy the OS for ease of mind, but uh, which do I buy first then upgrade to 10.9? 10.6/.7/.8?
*
Apple has stopped selling the OSX in store, the only way is to buy them from Apple appstore. Get someone with a Mac, create a new appleid for yourself and buy and download.

Guys,

Can i update directly from ML to Mavericks without clean install.(Just double click and install).
*
I believe so, but before doing it, do a copy of your system into another partition, just in case you've problem while upgrading the OS.

*
Have it work before on Mavericks? If not, then, probably add the EthernetBuiltIn option in your chameleon boot.plist file.

yeah it work when i was on mountain lion..i tried all those ethernetbuilt in thing in chameleon.plist
*
Okay, in addition to add that EthernetBuiltin thingy in chameleon.boot.plist, you also need to remove the existing

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist

Reboot and recreate the networkinterfaces plist by going to preferences and add the network interfaces once again.

Go to terminal, do sudo nano /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist edit and save.

What profile do you use for smbios.plist? I'm using MacPro3,1.

But YES's Go dongle is ok in Macbook air 2003 (upgraded to Maverick).
So it is not problem with YES's software driver.
Must be because of Hackintosh with the USB port issue.
*
Did you use on the same desktop that you had installed Lion? Have you tried different port? Does it appear in the profiler (System Information)?

Updated mine to 10.9.5 w/o any issue, just reinstall the audio driver and that it.
