QUOTE(wavezard @ Sep 23 2014, 02:49 PM) Can help me here? I ald do a research and posted in some forums, still no luck I'm sorry, couldn't help much on a notebook/laptop. My experience was only with Lenovo/S10 way back in 2008 and it was using a pre-configured installer. Check the tonymacx86 forum and see if there is anyone there that have the same specs as yours. Best is to get the 10.9.5 installer and using unibeast, try to boot it up and see if it lead you anywhere. This post has been edited by wiraone: Sep 23 2014, 03:48 PM

QUOTE(wavezard @ Sep 23 2014, 04:40 PM) I have try many boot flags configuration, but mostly, the result is it will show a lot of lines, then error encontered for 5 seconds, then anotherr line appear, next the screen go dark. My gpu fan spinning 100% full speed, then shutdown after few seconds I'm 100% sure this has to do with the GPU. I had a problem with my daughter's desktop with Nvidia GPU. I temporarily used my son's ATI GPU, install the OS and Nvidia driver and then switch back the GPU. Is there any setting in the BIOS which let you switch to the intel GPU? BTW, what is you notebook make and model? This post has been edited by wiraone: Sep 23 2014, 05:31 PM

QUOTE(wavezard @ Sep 23 2014, 06:11 PM) No option bios. Although I already flash BIOS, but still no option. Lenovo Ideapad Y400 Since you can't switch the GPU into internal GPU, I guess it is hard to start with.

QUOTE(wavezard @ Sep 25 2014, 12:39 AM) Just go into bios..the unlocked bios version does have option to disable Internal GPU and GPU switching. But after disable, still the same After you've switched to the internal GPU, try booting into windows, does it use the internalGPU or does it switch back to the Nvidia.

Yeah, just follow the suggested hardware and follow the guide on how to install OSX, you shouldn't be a problem.

QUOTE(larilagilaju @ Oct 14 2014, 12:43 PM) Hye. My Apple keyboard broken last week. So I'm thinking instead of buying another Apple Keyboard, I want to buy mechanical keyboard. My question is, do mechanical keyboard work out of the box? As long as it is using the normal USB and no special driver needed, it should.

QUOTE(Playground's Kid @ Oct 14 2014, 12:58 PM) Btw..is it worth it to buy magic keyboard instead of normal windows keyboard.. Planning to buy the magic keyboard.. Magic keyboard? You mean the wireless keyboard? Not worth it I would say, you will not operate your keyboard far away from your workstation anyway. Most complains I saw with these wireless thingy is the battery life.

QUOTE(Cynox @ Oct 20 2014, 09:24 AM) Yosemite is so much more friendly in installation. Just fresh installed in my PC and everything works flawlessly after a few trial and errors of Multibeast settings. Yup, be careful, I had a problem when I ran the Multibeast the second time, I believe it does something which caused my SSDT.aml to be removed from the /Extra and I couldn't boot. Probably because the first time I've selected not using DSDT but I copied my DSDT & SSDT from my previous installation.

I don't use imessage, so I've no idea how it works or if it is not working. Running message, I'm connected to jabber.
Anyway, one thing I've just realised, my audio gone when my pc wakes up from sleep. Rebooting brings back the audio.

After installing yosemite using unibeast, you need to install some stuff from multibeast including chimera. I would avoid doing some unnecessary stuff yet. Installing bootloader/Extra into EFI partition is a nice to have feature but not needed really.

QUOTE(wen9x88 @ Oct 21 2014, 12:15 PM) I did install the driver from multibeast. But PC won't boot without unibeast USB plugin. still google here and there find ssolution That means that you may need to add something into your /Extra/org.chameleon.boot.plist. If you've Mavericks installed before, just copy some of the information from your previous installation.

QUOTE(bfu9278 @ Oct 21 2014, 07:39 PM) hello all sifu's here...any recommendation to buy half size mini pcie wireless card for my dell inspiron 7537 locally? I don't think you can source it locally, many sold here are the Intel ones and not the Broadcom. Do check the compatibility before you source the card.

Nice, I tried clover once and I bailed out, couldn't get into the installer at all on my daughter pc and when I upgraded mine, I couldn't afford too much downtime since it is my main/work pc. Might try installing into my T410S and see...
