Hi sifus, would like to build my first low budget hackintosh. Is the ASUS H81M-C hackintosh compatible?
*
Not that many people has tried Haswell chipset, you probably need to look at the net by using keyword H81M-C tonymacx86 or H81M-C hackintosh. If you've a choice, go with the recommended motherboard, but if you've bought it, well, nothing much you could do other than to try it out. First thing with ASUS motherboard, most of them has locked UEFI, you may need to patch them.

Already did, the motherboards recommended are expensive. Wanted a cheaper alternative.

Get a Gigabyte Haswell one, what is your budget?

If you're just trying and learning, building the Hackintosh on a low end machine, you'll not really give OSX a justice. You'll complain on how slow it is booting etc. Probably get a second hand MacMini?

Try search for macmini setup..

The lowest I could specs out that is comparable to macmini will cost the guy around RM1500. Now way to get it under RM1000 unless he is sourcing a second hand machine.

Hi, currently I'm using hackintosh Mountain Lion (Thanks to wiraone).
Is it any good to upgrade to OSX Mavericks?

Current setup.
Proc: i5 2500K
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V
HD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB
GPU: Nvidia GTX650
RAM: 2 x 4gb 1600MHz
*
If it could run ML, shouldn't be a problem running Mavericks .. Just refer to the guide in tonymacx86 if you get stuck.

Without telling us the specs of your hackintosh, it is hard for us to help. First thing first, what is your motherboard made and model? Has it working before? What OS you're installing?

You need to install bootloader again after you've installed win7 since win7 already overwritten it. Head to tonymacx86 and look for guide in doing multiboot.

Most internal pci-e WLAN cards are not supported by Mac OSX. So, you may need to get those supported TPLINK card if you need WLAN.

my hackintosh dual boot with win8 & niresh mavericks 10.9

Can't boot? Any error? Can you go into verbose mode and see what error you're getting? Does it have to do with the kexts file?
