QUOTE(simon82 @ Jul 3 2017, 11:42 AM) I'm not sure why.. but there's 2 hd icon there .. one for ntfs and one for sierra... The verbose option will let you know where it got stuck and you'll be able to fix it. What hardware do you have? Please share it here and someone might be able to help you out. BTW, do share what you've done so far, and what kind of installation you're using (tonymacx86 or others).i enable to verbose -v and many things else... it's the same... let me try to capture some image 1st |

Half way booting or installing? Any images with the last message you got on the screen when you do the verbose mode? Does it show where/what it stuck at?

QUOTE(larilagilaju @ Jul 27 2017, 10:45 AM) wiraone I've never tried (and probably doesn't need) to use bluetooth. So, really I've no idea what to suggest. My current rig has bluetooth built-into the motherboard. Had it working before but I need to reboot into Windows to load the driver and then warm boot to OSX. Since I don't have any bluetooth devices, I didn't go further than trying it for few times Recently updated my rig to macOS Sierra. Been proudly using ML for like 5 years. Never use bluetooth with my hackintosh before. What bluetooth dongle you suggest? The one that I can easily find in Malaysia or even better if it's available in Aliexpress. |

QUOTE(hibiki98 @ Sep 14 2017, 09:39 PM) guys, i have problem why did the installation of sierra, i stuck at final 90%? it always stuck over there Check your BIOS setup, HPET setting if they're as recommended for your board. Best if you share your setup here. Some graphics card can cause problem too, so installing with a basic inbuilt graphics card might be helpful. |

QUOTE(hibiki98 @ Sep 15 2017, 10:36 AM) My suggestion, take out the GTX980 first. Try the installation using the integrated graphics card and see. And do the BIOS setting as per tonymacx86 guide: STEP 3: Recommended BIOS Settings If you're installing on a recommended CustoMac desktop with AMI UEFI BIOS, the options are simple. For other systems make sure to set your BIOS to Optimized Defaults, and your hard drive to AHCI mode. Here are standard AMI UEFI BIOS settings for Gigabyte AMI UEFI BIOS, Gigabyte AWARD BIOS, ASUS AMI UEFI BIOS, and MSI AMI UEFI BIOS. 1. To access BIOS/UEFI Setup, press and hold Delete on a USB Keyboard while the system is booting up 2. Load Optimized Defaults 3. If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it 4. If your system has CFG-Lock, disable it 5. If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it 6. Set OS Type to Other OS 7. If your system has IO SerialPort, disable it 8. Set XHCI Handoff to Enabled 9. If you have a 6 series or x58 system with AWARD BIOS, disable USB 3.0 10. Save and exit. |

QUOTE(hibiki98 @ Sep 18 2017, 12:13 PM) I use the driver in multi beast which cause it able to detect the gtx980. Have a read on this link:Which nvidia driver should I download, I am using sierra 10.12 When I install driver from nvidia later two driver, it unable to install noting that the driver is not compatible https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/nvidia-r...5-05-25.227494/ NOTE: These drivers are currently the only method to get full acceleration for GeForce GTX 1050, 1050 Ti, 1060, 1070, 1080, 1080 Ti, TITAN Pascal, and TITAN Xp 'Pascal' graphics cards and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750, 750 Ti, 950, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, and TITAN X 'Maxwell' graphics cards. There are no current Macs with these cards, so support is absent natively in macOS. |

Thinking of making a come back in Hackintosh world, my old MBP is now dead and am thinking of building it based on NUC. Anybody has experience hackintoshing a NUC? Want to build based on NUC8 i5. Any suggestion? I guess the soldered WIFI chipset won't work at all, so, need to use a wired network connection.

QUOTE(piscesguy @ Nov 9 2019, 08:54 AM) The disadvantage of using NUC is u cannot fit a GPU inside the case and if u think about it for the cost for a NUC, u can build a proper PC with GPU inside. Trying to find the smallest PC for my desktop. Previous PC was a full size and was sitting under the table. I believe the internal GPU is good enough for Hackintosh, ia it not? The smallest mini-itx case is still huge in size |

QUOTE(fadzly @ Dec 5 2020, 11:19 AM) What I meant is, do we still need to hackintosh where apple product is already cheap and powerful especially the entry level mac mini. Rm2.9k. Mostly, those who went into hackintosh way were not due to the cost of buying Apple products, but because they can do it since they've the required hardware readily available. This post has been edited by wiraone: Dec 5 2020, 11:23 AM RT8081 liked this post
