Angie Tribeca - a bit silly but watchable

... reminds me of A Touch of Cloth, UK series.

Amazon's Mad Dogs is worth a watch. So far 3 episodes in, it's an improvement over the UK version. The UK version was 4 episodes per season that have inconsistencies of one to the other. This time around the set-up is a lot more coherent due to better budget and time to allow the scenario runs its own course. Be patient with it as the series goes deeper, the crazier it will get.

I do like this show a lot, it retains the strong British dark humor tone with wacky plot threads. It does a lot of fresh things with a tired premise. Granted, there is some cop out moments but the likable performances outweigh the sum of the negative bits.

HBO's Vinyl is off to a good start....not sure will it hit the tv gold status as a little too early to tell. In a nutshell, it's telling sleazy 70s music industry in the famous Scorsese's Goodfellas narrative structure. Cheeky VO cutting through the in and out of running a questionable record company. Ray Romano came off as surprise casting with his sleazy snake oil salesman persona as the right hand man to the immoral lead Bobby Cannavale. Juno Temple will be there to provide the sleeping around kind of distraction. Great music throughout. Don't miss this if you are a fan of Mad Men.

11.22.63 first episode looks decent. Read the novel which is also amazing.
