Was raiding my colleague's music stash and came across Mogwai's OST for this french show. Then got a big lecture for not watching it. Gotta say it's very awesome and IMO a giant middle finger to Damon Lindelof. The mystery keeps unraveling at a hypnotic pace where you are satisfied with each revelation. It just has that forward momentum. No pandering or long drawn out plot to mask the mystery. Top notch acting and film direction to tie up the whole package. Season 1 fully available on netflix while season 2 just premiered on Sundance TV. There are 2 competing US remakes which got cancelled recently, the first one was Resurrection, which based on a book called The Returned that heavily "inspired" by a 2004 film "Les Revenants" aka "They came back" which this show is based upon. A&E just canned their direct adaptation called The Returned if that is not confusing enough. At the end of the day, the one to watch still the french tv version.
Errrmmmmm....not want I have in mind. It looks too polished and not ugly enough as the books were rich with fcuked up southern "red neck" aesthetic. Maybe look see 2 episodes and see how it goes from there.
A special event will be held at Dewan Jubli Perak, Bangunan SUK Shah Alam, Selangor. This event is an inaugural concert organized by the newly established orchestra called the Selangor Symphony Orchestra (SSO) under the baton of Maestro Eugene Pook.
The world renowned violin soloist Zhang Le (张乐) will be presenting Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto on that night. SSO will also play Verdi’s Triumphal March from “AIDA” and Tchaikovsky Symphony No.5.
Master of None is a very good show. Not a big fan of Aziz Ansari upfront, this show converted me so. It's not rehashing his shallow caricature act from Park and Rec. The quality is as great as CK Louis/Lena Dunham type of writing. It's earnest and insightful to every man child that bury deep in us. It tackles a lot of important issues that we took for granted like racism, parenting and growing up to be an adult. You gotta give them credit for good taste to use Aphex Twin - Come to daddy in one of the episode. The music they use on the show is perfect.

The Last Panthers is a pretty grimy look at the eastern europe criminal world. The panther is a reference to the real world "pink panthers" heist gang. It's a lot more "Eastern Promises","A Prophet " rather than "Ocean Eleven". John Hurt's appearance just makes the show classy. So far the pilot is promising provided you are willing to sit through the artsy slow pacing direction. David Bowie supplies the rather good opening track.
Spotless felt a lot like watching Breaking Bad rip-off. Not gonna say it's comparable or even come close. It sorta mirroring story beats of Walter White. You have a legitimate crime scene cleaner Jean who got tangled with a powerful crime boss that riffing Gus Fring. His brother is a spiritual Jesse Pinkman character that a blessing and curse at the same time. The hook of the show is seeing them manipulating murder scene and using it as a means of leverage. The issue is dozen of subplot running concurrently with questionable plot holes and unwarranted shocking development, it does overwhelm you a little. The frustrating part is on and off there are impressive scenes to be had that keeps you wanting to continue watching. Truly dug the mob boss character. All in all, still an interesting show.
NOTE: Season and series premieres — such as for Fox’s The X-Files, Shondaland’s The Catch, J.Lo’s Shades of Blue and Season 3 of The 100 — will be detailed in our annual January Premieres and Finales Calendar. Not here.
To those who were fascinated by HBO's The Jinx, do not miss Making A Murderer. It's the opposite of the Robert Durst case. Now they explore when you are not rich and influential, how do you fight injustice of epic proportion. Each episode with a cliffhanger that you will scream at the screen and you will question faith in humanity.
Finally got around to finish Making A Murderer. Urge some of you do give this show a glance. It's an important TV show that not just deserves a wider audience but a significant one to say the least. Not many TV shows that can prompt Anonymous to mount a campaign and social media trolling that does actual damage to the alleged evil lawyer in the show. Be prepared to get infuriated by the events of the trial.

Each episode makes your head spin! Worth it though
finished first episode of Billions (paul giamatti and damian lewis). it's good. will stick to it. any comment on frankenstein chronicle and Jekyll and Hyde? i downloaded it, but haven't watch it yet.
Billions way too fluffy with the hollywood treatment. Bedrag with a similar premise that's far grittier and gnarly human drama. The behind the scene manipulation is ruthless and Bobby Axelrod just a spoilt brat in comparison to the power player in the danish crime thriller.
