I spent an hour queuing in Das Auto Show.. Then heard the organizer announced something like "COME BACK LATER" sweat.gif ... And I heard many people who came out from the event shaking their heads, saying it was a waste of time. I Straight cabut balik since it was starting to rain as well rolleyes.gif

Between, is rocco 2.0 available in Malaysia? I noticed most of the rocco owners here drive 1.4? How much does it cost for installing the Rieger bodykit attached below here? It looks too low for Msia road though hmm.gif

Appreciate you guys' feedback. Thanks notworthy.gif

Haha, the most stupid event in Auto Show ever.

Same like going to sahara dessert, the journey is so challenging. "Q" here "Q" there, "Q" until crazy just to see a VW car that can see in showroom.

this event really can called a failure. i was there with my friends and thinking to catch some nice photos. q-ing up, looking at the crowds and was told by the official that we have to wait for 2 hours, i was like WTF.

since my friend are still interested to get in, so we wait for it. suddenly i heard the myfm DJ asking a guy whom already registered, he said he came at 12pm, and it was 4pm at that time, i was like WTF WTF WTF

You can get the replica kits here which cost around RM6k if I am not mistaken. Original ones are almost double the price. Ask Yan, he is currently using the Rieger kit on his Roc at the moment.

Just came back from Das Auto. For those waiting to see the CKD Jetta or the Passat before making a decision today or tomorrow, fat hope! The event was a major disappointment. First of all, you Q for about an hour just to get a number. Then you wait another hour before your number is called! And boy after all that wait, I was hoping to see the big boys up close like the Golf R, Scirocco R, Phaeton and was also hoping to see the CKD models like Passat and Jetta. But all you see are the cars on stage when they were introduced. Never mind, after the stage and video presentation, I head on to the car showroom hoping to see the cars that was introduced "in flesh". But No, the cars displayed there are all the cars that we could see in our local showrooms! Cars displayed were Passat CC, Golf GTI, Polo, Toaureg. Whats the point? It's full of bullshit and I wasted half day there which I could enjoy more testing cars at the showrooms or even sleeping at home! Das Auto? Das waste of time!  vmad.gif

I was there just after 11am. By the time I cleared the whole thing it was almost 130pm .. Imagine going thru all that with my family in tow as they were hyping it up as a family event ..

What poor crowd management.. The event management was trying to do an 'exclusive' but failing miserably ... At least have a short cut through the static display where they can wait whilst waiting for the pathetic show until my daughter commented, "is that all?" after 2 hours wait ..

One of the sales consultant in the Das Auto show told me that VW Polo sedan might cost around RM 9x,xxx.

If it is, is this good value?

VW cars are heavily customizable, so it really depends on the specs we get in Malaysia.

If it comes with DSG, a twin charged engine and bi-xenon headlights, then RM90k+ is awesome! thumbup.gif

I doubt.

India already launched Polo sedan, sold as Vento.

1.6 litre petrol, 6 speed automatic with tiptronic.

Russian spec Polo sedan also comes with 1.6 litre petrol.

Compared to other countries, the CBU VWs in Malaysia have pretty high specs to justify their "premium" positioning in Malaysia.

Given that the CBU Polo hatchback already comes with DSG and TSI engines, and costs less than RM110,000...

It might be possible that Polo sedan CKD, with its tax breaks, will have similar specs as the hatchback, but with a lower price.

If this really happens it's going to convert quite a few City, Vios and Forte buyers. Let's wait and see...
