May i know how old are you? Do you have any licenses?? Have you ever stopped by a malaysia police and you show them your singapore driving license??? Please clear our doubts. Thanks

who had said an official letter by jpj is bxxxsxxx???? I only said to cut the malaysia license to two is bxxxsxxx. You are reading and advising or you like to create problems? hmm.gif

Well, i don't think i need to tell a minor like you my age. and yes, i've show traffic police police my Sg license, while driving My or Sg car.

And you just ask ppl to convert without telling them that their license will be cut according to JPJ letter ? And by your own interpration this is bxxxx ? Giving ppl your own view and ignoring the official way of doing it ?

Mackiddo....there's no specific rule that states from JPJ's website that one is allowed to drive a malaysia registered vehicle with another country's driving license...in this using a singapore driving license

Also my MY driving license WAS NOT cut plus I did manage to renew my Malaysia driving license at the start of this year 2011...
while I've managed to convert my SG driving license like 3 years back already...and am still holding a valid SG driving license

you see, this rules come about long time ago when those Singaporean who works in Malaysia wanna convert their Singapore license to Malaysia to drive Malaysia car. JPJ do not have this kind of service, so they agreed that it is legal to drive Malaysia registered car using Singapore license.

All lot of Malaysian who convert their license to Singapore one also have been blacklisted by JPJ, so they will use the Singapore license to drive Malaysia car.

Well, they can't really do that as I took my letter from Penang.
Heck, I was even asked to take the letter after 1 day.
If they cut my license, die lo...I have to camp at JPJ already. laugh.gif laugh.gif
That is why I said someone mentioned that it is stated in the letter requesting LTA to do it...but then why should LTA listen to JPJ.
Let me go home and scrutinize my letter.

Any way to check if my license is blacklisted or not instead of waiting for my license renewal to be blocked (if I suffer from that case).

All I can say is that JPJ should have stated in the letter OFFICIALLY is that, when a person has successfully converted to SG driving license, he/she can/will be able to use the SG driving license to drive a malaysia registered vehicle as well....by stating this...case close

Erm...this may sound stupid...but what about a Sg registered car?
If we get stopped by the police, we show them Sg license with Malaysian IC (cause they would think we are foreigners)?
A bit of a weird combo  laugh.gif  laugh.gif  cause logically, singaporeans will have to show the license with passport.
*
another thing weird from your posting. I never, ever show my IC when got block by traffic police. Only give them my license.

If that is true, this is my ignorance on this matter as when i took the letter, i didnt think i see anything that mentioned i need to cut my driving license into 2 nor did any JPJ officer telling me so. However, i did renew my Malaysia driving license and is still valid till 2014. Now this have let me puzzling how come when i renew my malaysia license and i am allowed to do that since i am holding a singapore driving license. Is it due to i renew my license from the POS OFFICE? hmm.gif

Anyone brudders who have converted and have their driving license cut into 2?

Ok noted. laugh.gif laugh.gif
Cause I was just wondering, as usually, foreigners get blocked, they should be needed to show passport to ensure they entered and stayed there legally.
By driving a Sg car and showing a Sg license, the cops may think we are foreigners and request for some identification.
Well, that is me thinking too much. laugh.gif laugh.gif
