in one article... it was mentioned that TF Prime will be marketed as premium product. our tf101 will be the entry level...

update1:
entry level = mainstream.

also, the article...

well.. our mainstream is still up to market standard at the moment, i think everything is about the same, other than Prime is having flash camera, tegra 3 and a really shinny shell (more notable differences at least)..

so i guess TF101 users don't need to sob or weep over the new Transformer unless you like shinny stuff... alot

Prime vs TF101

i think TH Prime is also thinner. very much thinner. for me... that's the only notable difference. so, might be better for those who wanna hold it up and do night reading -- ya, i find tf101 to be slightly heavy for 30-60mins reading.

the other thing is... 32GB memory is the smallest one for TF Prime. i think that's good, actually. for MY... only 16GB model sold officially, i believe...

The biggest difference about Prime is, it is the ONLY tablet that has announced it will be using kal-el while all other competitors are still sticking to Tegra2 for example Xoom 2.

If you compare TF101 to Xoom 2, the specs are still very valid smile.gif

I also think that's why they're keeping TF1 in the market. It's still relevant compared to other brands.

But does a Quad-core chipset (Kal-El) really play big role for a tablet?
If I'm not mistaken, I think I read something somewhere saying that it doesn't have much performance upgrade, only helps to save ur batt.. Correct me if i'm wrong hmm.gif

Tried the Transformer today at C-Zone LYP.

Generally, touch UI is smooth, transition between multiple homescreens is fluid. Same goes to web browsing, vertical scrolling on pages like lowyat.net is good BUT pinch to zoom wasn't that smooth, slightly laggy.

Overall good impression on this device. They're selling it for RM1450 without dock and RM1699 with dock.
