Guys, ever wonder does this TF101 comes with built-in microphone?

What's the hole meant besides mini-HDMI port.

Yeayyy i don't have to root anymore for adhoc wifi. New firmware support native adhoc wifi.

Does it mean iPhone wifi tethering possible without rooting?

Going to fully charge it and update to latest firmware. No intention to root it. But sadly the sound output is really obvious. Right is so loud till left no sound.

I was wondering whether should i stick with 3.1 or move to 3.2

B80 can use iphone wifi tethering on the spot.

Is the dock self draining battery juice still an issue? Mine under B80 still drains but only a few percentage.

B80 and B70 docks already using new chipset should not drain anymore...

Tested last night till today, undocked condition. 6 hours not even a single percentage battery drop. I assume ASUS had fix the problem.

I thought the issue is when it is dock. I'm still trying to understand how bad is bad actually. Some reported more than 10% per hour. That is bad. My case is about 1.5% per hour.
*
If undock, battery remains, if docked around 1% to 2% discharged rate per hour.

Can we use PayPal for android market instead of using VISA?

Thanks

not that i'm aware of, market only accepts credit cards as i know.

Forgot to mention, i always shut down the eee pad. Not sleeping mode. Since boot up less than 30 seconds, why put sleep mode and discharge the battery fast?

I found out Dice Player is the only one that works the most files like .ts & .tp, MX player performs better than Mobo Player. I assume there is no free apps performs the best sad.gif

my battery discharge rate is slow, over a period of 7-8 hours of inactivity its about 1% only so i dont put my tablet to sleep because i dont want to reboot everytime and wait for that 30 seconds. I've tried out diceplayer a while back, it does work well on MKV files but still choppy after a while (few seconds into the video). So far that, mobo and mx player are the best. Hopefully someone will come up with better codecs for tegra 2 processors.
*
Funny thing is that MOV file extract from iPhone 4 720p video record is choppy on mobo and mx player but works flawless on dice player.

I need my TF101 on Presentation which require video clips. Sadly Mobo and MX not really on icing on the cake.

QUOTE(CyberKewl @ Aug 28 2011, 07:56 PM)
yes, the tegra 2 processor is the culprit but hopefully there's a fix for this issue at some point otherwise the advertised 1080p is useless - playable but not really watchable.
*
How nice if all the apps fully use their Hardware acceleration codec, besides it's a dual core... but sadly the Ram is only 1GB which hampers its performance badly. If they made it 2Gb RAM, might solve the problem too.

QUOTE(tracktion3 @ Aug 28 2011, 07:56 PM)
Have you tested Vplayer? Not sure if it works for you. Is choppy on 1080p but works OK on some 720p. the reason I use it because'it'play many format and I like the easy user interface, simple and easy.
*
I'll give it a try then.

The only thing I hate about Asus TF101 is that damn cable had to be USB3.0 with extra 5 pins inside. I can't use portable charger because all USB 2.0 only. I'd leave no choice but to get another AC charger set c/w cable from Asus. How nice they produce in-car charger.

This hybrid netbook needs USB3.0 to charge (like it or not)

it will charge from usb 2.0 only when you switch off the screen... (standby)...

i tried with my portable usb charger...

Really? Great! Then I'm going to invest one 6600maH portable charger since I can use it for my iPad2 too.

Anyway I found out even when is docked and doesn't charge the TF101, there is a tendency of "timer" whereby it will eventually charge from dock.

Fully charged the dock by 12am woke up at 8am found out 5% battery drained for the past 8 hours. The docked is left out and kept in the bag condition.

Yeap, I got iPad2 charger @ 2.1Amp and in-car charger Belkin 1Amp. Try tonight.

I wonder how mobile booster cam charge at only 500mA power?

the charger is overheating, put it in the freezer for a while, not the place where you put vegetables but the freezer compartment where its dry.

Freezing it? are you sure? i've check the tempreature and is within safe usage " 32 celcius.
