I think my X390 order also affected. Ordered 26th Aug. I dunno what happened, at first the process seemed smooth then all of a sudden Lenovo but the process on hold due to credit block. It seems they attempted to make another withdrawal from my debit card account before the first payment was returned (or something). Now settled payment matters but order haven't shipped yet.

Maybe I should've used normal credit card instead of debit card, but if you use uBlock Origin or uMatrix you can see just how many trackers Lenovo has on their site, so I didn't want to trust them with my main cards. Yes, I'm the paranoid type.

So far, Lenovo didn't offer to cancel/refund yet. I don't want to cancel because the price was damn good; included 3yr On-Site NBD + 3yr Accidental Damage + 3yr Sealed Battery Replacement for extra $1 each - no other model at the time I ordered had that offer, and even now if I add those two options to a new order the price is still higher.

Anyways, if any of you having problems with Lenovo sales customer service, don't bother with the mycs or seapayments email addresses. The staff there are completely inept. Email this person directly instead;

Make sure you type in proper English. She's Australian so cannot understand Malaysian slang. After you complain to her you'll see all the old useless mycs and seapayments staff suddenly become very helpful to you. No more one sentence cheap replies. laugh.gif

I’m quite disappointed with my purchase of T495 due to the following reason.

1) Delivery from China to Malaysia (Subang Jaya) took 16 days. Laptop shipped on 9-Sep and only received it yesterday which is 24-Sep. Based on UPS tracking, the Laptop was stuck in Sepang for more than a week. Lenovo email support is not responsive and not helpful and I’ll need to call them up and check the status.

2) After the long wait, laptop finally arrived and I found that there were at least 3 dead pixels on the display, and the finishing on the casing behind the display is quite rough and not entirely smooth.

3) Tried to call them again today for several time and my call was not being picked up.

The only good thing is the laptop purchased with 3 year premium support, accidental damage coverage, and sealed battery replacement.

Does any one has experience dealing with dead pixel for their new laptop? Do you get a replacement unit or sent for repair?

Damn, after paying such a price premium, I certainly won’t feel happy to have 3 f**king dead pixels on my brand new laptop... doh.gif

Before you proceed with further warranty actions, mind help us with some HWinfo screenshots regarding that display? TQVM for that.

For all 3, why don't you 3 file claims with relevant authorities, that the advertiser must fulfill the transaction based on their advertisement? I know consumer laws are weak but it is consumer right.

I think P43s with DUIT is still cheaper, but without the accident insurance and battery swaps.

They do bundle a slightly more premium bag with P43s over T490 though, haha...

Here’s how it cost when having the same specs (all be it slightly different GPU). But mang, it cost almost RM700 to upgrade the screen alone, it better be dang good and flawless, LOL...

Yeah, that’s what I mean. TQ for your time.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/ThinkPad-T490...t.417277.0.html

Apparently it is a quite decent display, nice brightness, great contrast and decent colour gamuts. Just that the reaction time can be a little too slow for the likings of some people, is it true in your case too (like having some ghosting or trailing of mouse pointer)?

After read this review ,
I will skip on T490/P43s model.
This is difficult to remove bottom case.
