Debit or credit card? I experienced same problem, although mine was a few days later, not a few hours later. In my case was Maybank Debit Visa card.

I used maybank CC, visa too.

Then maybe not exactly the same as my case, as credit and debit card facilities have slightly different operational protocols. Has your order shipped yet? Usually, most computer manufacturers will make one "SALE" first when you checkout, which also serves as authentication and to check if your card is valid. Then, their billing system will charge you again when it's shipped. The first payment will eventually be refunded, but how long it remains floating varies between bank and card type. Lenovo obviously have a very different system. Here's a rough example of the bullshit I've had to deal with from them for my Visa Debit card;

In your case, no need to worry. What's important is that they process your order and ship it without delays. After you receive your product, you can always ask the bank to chase them for over/doublecharge matters. In any case, if they bill you again in the coming days and still don't ship your order, contact that Cibin Francis person I linked to in one of my previous pages. In my case, they only took action when I contacted her. No more billing until shipping date, and the outstanding amount should make it back to me within 14 days of the initial charge date. Downside is my order shipping date has been delayed to end of October. >_>

No worry de, they won’t charge u in directly.
Cause your order may taken more than a month Long.
Cc e status will be pending until they verify from bank and disappear that amount of charged.
Once they ship out, u will receive another new charge again.

LOL, TQ both for the info. Don’t know why Lenovo need to make it so complicated while most other online platforms no such BS. I thought of using direct bank payment but afraid if they cancel order and so, more complications can occur.

Yeah, no idea what dumb billing system Lenovo uses. All other tech companies I've dealt with, it's usually one charge at time of cart checkout and another charge upon shipping. Apple is the best in this regard; charge one time and they ship on promised date, no nonsense. Worst case, if it's a long order processing time, some overseas companies might bill me $1 USD/GBP/Euro once a month as "AUTH-TEST" to check if card is still active. Only Lenovo billed me the full amount once every week. Crazy! If the price wasn't so good, I would have canceled.

I thrust notebookcheck more.
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkP...w.419740.0.html

Also market general practice nowadays, for those devices with only one TB3 port, 99.9% chances it runs on PCIEx2. Only those with 2 TB3 ports can safely say is X4, cause intel’s specifications stated such requirements.

CIMB no tricks, they allow the use of debit card too IINM.

But again, seeing Lenovo’s trick double or triple charging our CC, I will suggest avoid using debit card. Too risky having them charge you every few days like our bro above there.
