QUOTE(denniskiasu @ Apr 21 2006, 03:35 PM) Hello Everyone, I would like to know if anyone here is interested to purchase the new Thinkpad T60 with dual core processor. I do understand that currently in KL/Malaysia there are only 2 models and at very EXPENSIVE PRICES. However, I am proposing to purchase T60s from the US and bringing them back to Malaysia in June. If anyone is interested, please feel free to PM and I will be glad to assist you in any way. Thank you. Dennis P.S. THINKPADs are the BEST!!!! how much? warranty ler?

QUOTE(super macgyver @ May 1 2006, 07:50 PM) depends on the model u bought. But no matter which one you buy, it's international. That's why you don't need to worry where you buy the unit from.

Oh ok, so how do you find your lappie so far, mate? For me, i'm happy with the R50e that i am using now, but only problem is that the sound system is mono and at times, not clear enough (thats y i have a speaker attached to the PC)...

I found it great! Money well spent The X60s has mono speakers too and it don't sound great Need to use earphone or external speakers to get good sound though. I really like the magnesium alloy casing and ThinkLight This lappy is fast too. Manage to calculate Super PI (1MB) at only 37.xx second

Cool, that really is good value for money...
Actually despite the minor flaws, i went for the ThinkPad mainly because of friends and shop recommendations and not really for the price (which, at 3.8k, is a good bargain!)...

I chose ThinkPad cause it's one 'serious-no-play-play' looking laptop Besides that, heard many saying ThinkPads are tough and durable.

QUOTE(tc23 @ May 17 2006, 05:51 PM) Hi Thrust, how much you baught ur Thinkpad x60? i really like the spec and the lightwight.. What about the graphics? is it got international warranty provided by IBM? thks.. There are 2 X series, The X60 and X60s (s denoted processor with Low Voltage). X60 pentium M are without low voltage feature. It starts from 1.2kilo and if it adds in the 8cell battery, might weigh around 1.5kilo. I bought it for 7k but I can get it cheaper through contacts. All IBM machine has international warranty. This has unit 3 years and LCD and battery covers the 1st year only. Bear in mind the X60s doesn't comes with built-in optical drives. It comes together seperately Graphics card is from Intel GMA 950. Not suitable for gaming. This post has been edited by Thrust: May 17 2006, 06:09 PM
