QUOTE(kyliemin @ Feb 7 2006, 06:38 AM) right.. so it's ohkie to mix and match the brands and the MBs of the ram right? (why no one asnwer this question for me one? I just want to be 100% sure before I kill my baby!!) It is usually okay to mix the MBs of the ram, so 256 + 512 is fine. But about the brand, usually there isnt any prob with Kingston/Twinmos but I am not so sure in this area though normally most notebook shops knows which 3rd party ram to use . Also based on your spec stated earlier, most likely you're using PC2700 DDR type of ram. Important when buying If ventilation fan is killing you, try getting a nb cooler? Hope it helps edit: typo This post has been edited by coolkid: Feb 24 2006, 12:06 AM

New IBM Z60m user reporting in. Virgin untill yesterday oni (I mean the laptop), Downgrading from HP Compaq Nx7010 to get this. Bought at rm4800, with 768 DDR2 RAM, 2 years warranty (shop warranty), optical mouse all FOC. I'd never regret getting it, plus this IBM is better than my previous HP in every aspect except the graphics unit. for IBM Z60 Attached thumbnail(s)

z60t is about 900grams less than z60m, screen both are wide screen model, but z60t is 14" wxga, z60m is 15.4".
Titanium top cover is optional for both model if you can afford to pay more.
Personally I wil go for z60t because of it's slim and slick design weighted at 1.99kg only.
z60m basically has no difference from my current HP Compaq nx7010 except for higher spec.
If you love larger WXGA Screen by carrying 900grams more, not a bad choice though.

thinkpads actually have a hidden area where they keep your recovery files. you would see it in "disk management"
