same like how u install windows in your pc.if u delete the hidden partition then u will loss all the access ibm feature

don't think u can get all those in the budget that you're after
the new series have window keys, ie the models with "60" in them

Hi, got my T43 today from company.

Found two dead (or stuck?) pixels....trying to repair it tonight by looping the flash video.

Btw I notice there are too many applications that do the same thing as Windows one (like the wireless connection, Microsoft update etc...which makes the system loo a bit bloated)

And another complaint
The center blue trackpoint scrolling doesn't work for firefox.

Otherwise it's fine (as in the feel when I type and also the design)

try rma it if it just bought from the reseller within 2 days only asap.

Ah, I eliminated one stuck pixel and one still there...guess I'll just leave it there lar, I don't own the laptop also.

Btw, the keyboard really rocks....Really smooth typing and can control pointer well even without mouse.

And another thing, despite being aquired by Lenevo, it doesn't change the branding rite? Coz supposed im getting Lenevo laptop but now it's still IBM thinkpad

yup, it is now the same product.

try this, it worked for me
take a spectacle cloth ( so u wont' scratch the screen)
and use your finger with the cloth to press the stuck pixel lightly
no need to rub it..
let go and it should be gone.

btw, what colour is your stuck pixel?

Well, I've finally made my choice on which laptop to buy.
It's going to be a Lenovo Z61m

Now just gotta wait for it to be announced (May or June) and wait for the resellers in Malaysia to get a hold of it.

The T60 is quite a good laptop as well, but nobody seems to stock it. Better to get the wide screen edition which is the z60m but it's not core duo. So better to wait for the z61m (the core duo version) All the thinkpads have superbly sturdy bodies, good physical security and data security and good warranty as well. Cost is a little higher though. Gotta upgrade to International warranty to 3 years or so.
