Good to see this thread active again..... :-)
I still think it will take around 7-10 years for it to be fully developed, including the hotel, shopping mall and office tower.
*
According to the sales guy, he says the mall, the hotel, the office tower will launch at the same time wo hmm.gif possible?

Office towers not launched yet, and its taller than Solstice. If they want to complete it in time, they have to start launching/selling it already. It's a sizeable development, and more often than not, it will be completed across a period of time (1-3 years)

Simply means commission flying away for them....ouchhh
But yeah, very unprofessional of them then.

Good unit? Might as well try to re-sell it here then

Yeap, the news of the award of contract:
http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...10&sec=business

Considering they have undertaken so many big projects, built quality should be solid

Office tower wont be sold, OSK take it back to manage. Phase three is the last phase that will be sold.

My bad, not office tower, but rather, boutique hotel. I guess the same goes for the street mall and also shopping mall? Although I still feel it would be better for them to retain the shopping mall, they will most probably put up half of it for sale?

Nowadays landlord/owner manage mall by themselves better, more income and control power
OSK may outsource to retail agency to secure tenant first at the beginning.
Easy to get good tenant mix.

Once the good tenant mix secured, other development/property increase again

OSK should get GSC Cinema here. Kau tim.

Reference mall should be something like Paradigm Mall or Setia City Mall.

Like I mentioned in another forum: was at Trocpicana City Mall at 6 pm last Saturday -- GSC queue only 5 people. Most shops empty. I can practically roller skate inside there! Not sure about Paradigm or Setia City Mall though... Went to Paradigm Mall before; very similar to Tropicana City Mall layout -- TESCO in one while AEON BIG in the other. Then the rest are retail lots.

Actually I like these new malls because they are not congested like One U or Mid-Valley Megamall -- can get parking easily, and when I go window-shopping don't have to avoid human traffic. Can swing my arms around or hold my girlfriend's hand while strolling down the shopping aisle. My only concern is can these retail lots sustain their operation with so little clientele? I really wish they could...
