Your phone must be rooted to use setcpu
When you launcjh it, just select auto detect. If your rom can be overclock it will show you the minimum and maximum cpu speed - at the main page set your limits
Scaling : you have a choice how you want your phone cpu to perform - On demand or conservative or powersave or performance etc - choice up to you
Next move to PROFILes : You can setup several profiles on cpu speed under differnt condition. Example refer page 1 FAQ on battery issue I have listed some examples

Or just go to setcpu website there are much more info there - don't want to post here ending up a tutorial where you can get much much more info on this app at their website

Depending on your files, if multiple picture files then it will be slow as there's a short interval after each successful writing, for memory data transfer checking like the CRC... So if you compare transfer of 1GB of 1 video file and 1GB of a folder full of pics then the later one will take more time...

Sry, kinda misunderstood ur question...
So for a summary, if your taking a picture and the directory for saving your picture is the MicroSD then there might be some brief lag if your card is class 2. But i'm didn't really own a SGS2 yet so i'm not sure how the data transfer undergone there so if you want to try and see if got any problem for the write speed then try taking a 1080p video. From my assumption, the raw data will 1st be stored in RAM then only will be stored somewhere in internal or external memory after ending the shoot...

The loading of gallery pics, images etc is almost instant irrespective of what class SD card - I have tested even on class 2 cards. If it is not instant, something wrong already. this is never and should never be an issue on the SGS II ( since is 1.2 Ghz Dual core ), probably an issue only on those mid specs Androids single core eg 600 -800 Mhz. Even single core 1 Ghz should also load instantly - at least that is what I have seen on my previous Incredible S, Xperia Arc, Nexus One, Dell Streak

Irrespective of class, write speeds is a factor not read speed. So if you wishes to read only most of the time class 4 is good enough though Google officially recommend class 6 for Froyo and above

NO - not advisable ; if you have read my page 1 post FAQ 0 - I already said don't even set it at 200 - your phone will not wakeup at times - completely dead. Than you have to take out battery and hard reset it. . Minimum I set is 500 and often recommended based on what I read on the web the lowest recommendation is 400 Mhz. Any CPU speeds running lower than that will be auto set by the phone itself and we should not force set it lower

tegrak overclock...is it advisable that we lock the gpu clock?

whats the diff between those two?

for gallery, did u keep clear your ram(memory) using task manager? normally it will be immediately.
macros focus is meant for close up, if you take distance pics of coz will blur la. my macro mode can snap a pic up to 1.2cm close and still clear and very detailed, but u need to off flash and have a average amount of light to pull that off

As in all OC and UV apps - you should be responsible only to yourself using the app. Using it without some understanding could be disastrous

I only use Tegrak to undervolt not for overclocking. Even UV too low could be disastrous - so do read the opinions of others on what type of values was used in OC or UV before trying yourself

And to answer your question, I do not change the limit - it is recommended at 267Mhz and I lock it and  set it on boot

Did you try recording 1080p video directly to the MicroSD card, to test about the writing speed is able to catch up with the recording or not.
I bought a SanDisk Class4 16GB for my GF's Samsung Galaxy SL, when she records 720p the video appears to be choppy, not serious but it stuck for 1 second after each 10 seconds intervals during playback. Transferred to PC and it is still stuttering on every 10s interval.
Not sure it is the phone capability issue or the card.

just cancelled my order from exportprive... the car dock is not available at the moment. spend ~$13 for express shipping since needed by next wednesday but unfortunately that is not going to happen. btw, got an email from moneybookers for identity verification (they require IC, license & utility bill for account verification) since exportprive is refunding my payment... deng, anybody recieved such emials from mooneybookers before?

thank u for ur reply. really appreciate it. yup i have cleared it. but it seems to be loading for quite a while before it shows the available gallery folder. if reboot the phone it will be okay. but it tend to happen again sometimes. (the loading is longer than the instant loading) about the imei thingy, u have any idea when flashing back to stock rom?

How large is the video file? And also the length of the video?

Don't play with fire. Read a lot and understand ebfore anything. I myself thinknig of overclock and tried it once using the guide in xda.

Managed to hit 1504 but then...noticed some sort of 'buggy' then...

lol what i mean is dont clear ur memory, every time you open the gallery it will lag also or only the first time? what class card you're using?

about imei number, it will never change unless you have a hardware change.

i rarely clear the memory. just after the lag in gallery i tried ony.. btw im just using internal memory. because before this, very fast when opening the gallery now it seems to take forever. last time it was only first time. now is like almost everytime.

about the imei, i meant was custom rom will not show our imei like the stock rom rite? cause i checked in the service menu, it is not available.
