between toshiba satellite M100-2011E and A100-2212E ... which 1 better ? the price not much diff only .. why ar ? anyone can explain to me what is the diff of FSB 533 Mhz and 667Mhz ?

I got the exact same dilemma as you when I buying laptop that time. Ended up took the 2011E. Why? Because it's smaller in size and technically faster. 15 inch laptop really big to me le. Coz I need to carry my laptop around.

But that just me laugh.gif .

Not sure how to get back the keyboard keys to control. But, if you only want to change the screen brightness, you can still use the Toshiba Power Saver to adjust.

I guess you have to install back the "Funtion key" driver back. Best to get those driver from a Toshiba laptop that is running on Home XP.

Hope this help.

Toshiba Satellite M40.

Problem:
Wi-Fi button has to be set on/off each time to activate wireless network connection.

I never had this problem until this morning, what could cause this problem?
My laptop is one and half yr old, normally i just leave the Wi-Fi button to on.

But now each time when i shut down/restart, even though the Wi-Fi button is on, there is no light and i can't connect to Wi-Fi unless i switch it off/on.

Anyone faced this problem before?

mumeichan, teledynamics is the sole distributor in Malaysia...so matter where u buy the battery..it'll come from them too...but maybe you can scout around for Toshiba dealers that can provide a more competitive price..I'm thinking of getting a 12 cell battery. But it cost almost 1k. haha..

NekoRacing, I own a M40 too. you mean you leave the WIFI on even when you shutdown or restart right? last time i used to have this problem too. But after i reinstall the driver..then it's fine already.

Depending on the music i'm listening to.
The weird thing is, the speakers break and then it doesn't, like it has a mood of its own.

Guys,

I own a Toshiba Portege 3110CT, a 1999 model, and recently, the battery is gone! So, all I could depend on is the cable and I really wanted to use the notebook with its battery!

Does anyone of you knows how much the battery would cost If I am into buying a new one? And, do they sell second-hand batteries in Lowyat Plaza?

Thanx! wink.gif

When it comes to battery, I'd advise you to get a new one.

Who knows how long can second-hand batteries last.

The battery on my M40, only lasts 1hour.
