I need some help here, I been getting frequent BSODs lately concerning memory dump. Anyone knows what's happening?

Also, i need to know how do i use the recovery cd, can anyone teach me how to recover my laptop?

Weird thing is on the recovery cd it is written Express media player, is that a recovery cd for the media player or for windows?

damnit, I am still getting the BSODs after a clean reformat.

How and why are the RAMs causing the BSODs?
Is this a known common problem in Toshiba notebook?

Technician called me yesterday to pick up my laptop.
I went to tele dynamics today and collected my laptop, to my suprise my laptop was not fixed and there were scratches on its cover.

Technician could not fixed the laptop because the dealer changed the RAMs, so i have to go back to the dealer to get the RAMs changed. Apparently, i was given a value 1GB Corsair, cheap skate motherf***ers.

The furious part is my laptop got scratched during their service handling! I filed a complain and demanded to see their manager.

Manager was nice enough to listen to me, and we came to solution that he will replace the cover with a new one and notify the dealer to change the RAMs.

When i bought my laptop there was an upgrade promotion of 1GB Ram.
Manager explained to me that the original RAMS that are used by Toshiba are Samsung hynix and Kingston. The RAMS in my laptop were replaced with cheap value RAMS by the dealer although it's Corsair RAMS.

Any other solution?

Actually i have something to share with everyone I'll write out the story later it concerns Tele Dynamics nad Aggressive Technologies Sdn. Bhd. really f***ing dissapointing.

Any other solution?

Toshiba Satellite M40.

Problem:
Wi-Fi button has to be set on/off each time to activate wireless network connection.

I never had this problem until this morning, what could cause this problem?
My laptop is one and half yr old, normally i just leave the Wi-Fi button to on.

But now each time when i shut down/restart, even though the Wi-Fi button is on, there is no light and i can't connect to Wi-Fi unless i switch it off/on.

Anyone faced this problem before?

mumeichan, teledynamics is the sole distributor in Malaysia...so matter where u buy the battery..it'll come from them too...but maybe you can scout around for Toshiba dealers that can provide a more competitive price..I'm thinking of getting a 12 cell battery. But it cost almost 1k. haha..

NekoRacing, I own a M40 too. you mean you leave the WIFI on even when you shutdown or restart right? last time i used to have this problem too. But after i reinstall the driver..then it's fine already.

Just the driver for Wi-Fi?

cyberkid,

Depending on the music i'm listening to.
The weird thing is, the speakers break and then it doesn't, like it has a mood of its own.

When it comes to battery, I'd advise you to get a new one.

Who knows how long can second-hand batteries last.

The battery on my M40, only lasts 1hour.
