hi bros,
im using goldring 150 and hippo+ atm, quite happy with them, but dont like the fact that the hippo+ got no on off switch, where i have to unattach the head from the amp to preserve power.
Is there any amp that with on off button?
is there any amp that can charge and use without compromising the quality? (Because
if charge and use the hippo+ at the same time, some distract sound will emerge)
Can you share with me my options?
and please do tell me more abot Fiio E17
Thanks
If you are charging directly using the USB port of your PC/lappy, it may be a power supply issue. Is your audio source purely from your PC/lappy?
Hi
I'm not an audiophile but literally an audiomoron. My X-Fi Musicextreme finally bit the dust. So while looking for a replacement solution, i stumbled upon something called DAC.
My setup: Logitech Z-5300? I forgot. 5.1 speakers (with small head connectors). NOTE: I do not make use of the 5.1 speaker setup. My speakers are configured for 5.1 but my rear speakers are below my desk. Yes I am an audiomoron. It's been this way for nearly 10 years. So a 2.1 setup is probably what I really need if the speakers should be correctly configured.
My usage: Music, Movies (I do not need to listen to dog barking coming from behind me, as stated above) Stereo left to right is good enough. Occasional games, probably upcoming diablo 3.
To my ears, onboard sound card has always sounded bad, particularly those realtek. So I bought the X-fI and my habit is to turn on the equalizer, raise the bass slightly, not too much, and treble quite a bit. I think many will disagree.
I like flac but I do not listen to techno stuff. Mostly 40's Jazz, a lot of classical, retro and whatever old music. Most of them, not offered in great quality. There are lossless formats of those though.
OK.. So the problem now is, I'm trying to get a more modern setup.... but yet I don't really know what I need or want and people are going to diss my way of listening probably. I don't know what's good or not. I've always felt higher treble = greater clarity but please don't flame me, I really have no idea about all these. Haha.
So where do I start? My research has landed me here... seeing people are choosing DAC over soundcards. So now what?
