Haruan fishing in a rawang paypond, about rm10 per rod and the catch will be weighed if you want to bring home, about RM 15 per kg.

Hello guys!

Never know LYN got fishing thread until yesterday I saw someone posting link from /k/.

Been fishing using buluh from small kid, buy 1st cheap fishing set (RM30) when Form 1, every weekend pond or lake fishing until Form 3 and less when entering boarding school during Form 4 & Form 5. Stopped completely after that.

Now married & got 1st kid, just started again because my best friend poison me, dang! A bit addicted to the beach. Never try fishing in open sea yet. But over hundreds of hours of udang galah fishing in Kampung Dew river.

Hope to catch bigger fish as I'm learning (again, zero knowledge about sea fishing).

Kinda weird feeling seeing that term 'paypond' since in my place, many free spot to offer. I think only got less than 4 paypond here.

I know johnkor fishing, but I never know got Max also.

If i was staying in Klang my weekends or public holidays will be spend at seas or payponds.
If you dont know anything about fishing, and want to get gears for that, try going to tackle stores with a friend who knows fishing.
In KL got many tackle stores but very few good fishing spots and its the other way in Klang.

Expensive, far and catch rate isnt worth the money spent.
If you're targeting fish then payponds would be much better.Else, for relaxation, kelong paradise's not bad.

We can have a day trip kelong fishing at Port Klang if you're interested. Its only RM10/rod but you will need to take a ferry to the kelong.

Is this kelong in Lukut?
Imo,RM40 per head is pricey when its only Rm45 for 3 hours at payponds with grade A fishes.

Depends on what type of fish you're hunting for.
I've been there for 5 times, manage to get 1.6kg grouper and 2.3kg tetanda(dunno what's it called in english).
But still fishing in open sea is all about luck.

Actually depends on individual. I prefer to enjoy the sea breeze while fishing and reel back the fish from 150 yards away laugh.gif
Yeah, and no time limit too whistling.gif
The kelong in Lukut not that nice. You should try the one in Pasir Panjang.

I don;t have the contact number for the port klang's kelong. You can just take a ferry to the kelong and pay rm10 to fish. Just tell the ferry driver you're going to the kelong and he'll drop you off.
