Oh that's because my friend was from there as well with a single room, around rm 300. Hmm, I never been there before, was just browsing through their brochure on accommodation, it seemed not bad to me. lol. May be pictures are always nicer la.
Another friend of mine is studying at IMU, so she rent a master bedroom there in a condominium, around rm 400 excluding utility bills. Kinda feel like the rentals around nottingham are all overpriced, since there's a demand there more than supply. I have a uncle who lived at semenyih last year (around 10km from nott) before he moves to Kedah, he actually rent a whole house with only rm300 p/m. *Not trying to compare here, just feeling a bit heartache on the money that spent on something which are not worth the price, no choice*

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks he should be barred from teaching. Man he is the reason why we hated EM1. He is my personal tutor summore, and half of the time during tutorials I have to guess what he's talking about.

@alex, if you do Mech Eng he'll be teaching you Dynamics. He's known in my class for excessively twisting the flexible mic, creating undesirable noise that is broadcast thru the speakers. Also we can hardly decipher what he is talking about due to his thick accents.

hi guys, i just got the unconditional offer letter for engineering foundation in sept.
and i still havent applied for accommodation yet.. i'd prefer on-campus housing but it's only for 1 year..
i'd b very glad if anybody could give me some advice on off-campus acc. (how far it is from uni, meals, etc.) and any other instructions for a newcomer..

If you're talking about the bus requiring a card, I've got no idea since I've never boarded one.....

But never in my uni life did I ever present my student card to any guards..

2 days back i got an e-mail saying i was allotted a single shared ensuite bathroom..... but after the payment for confirmation yesterday, they sent me an email saying that my room no. was I5A72D ....... if the 'D' at the end is what u say it means, then have i been given a single room in the 5 bedroom apartment thing????  and do u think i should contact them enquiring about this??

Is there any case where 1st yr pharmacy student transfer to Nottingham on 2nd year..Provided he achieved excellent result and his exam modules are all based on uk?

that's extremely disappointing ....... if not campus employment then what about the Dean's excellence scholarship .... is it offered to the top 10% of each course???? and will it be offered after the 1st semester exams or the second???..... i've seen the sponsorship details and i don't think there is any sponsorship for an indian student such as myself.... except the Kaust sponsorship.. and they haven't really given any details regarding that.........someone please help me out!!!!

Thanks.  I didn't notice that.  I wish they'd be more clear in their correspondence.  I'm going to turn down their offer as I'm not going to share a bathroom with four other people.
