Hi Guys,

Wanna check, is anyone having problem with your A500 HDMI port? My come loss very easily and now i can't even display it on my TV.
Anyone know where i can get this fix and what's the damage ?

Jellybean seems nice for A500. Smooth experience except some apps keep on FC due incompatibility.

Back on ICS 4.0.4 A700 leak.

OK my device is Jelly Bean (CM10) mod live...

it is buttery smooth.... have not found any bug at the moment all seems fine...

No official Jelly Bean for A500, news said.

I'm using it and it is very stable, have huawei 3G dongle support build right in and awesomely smooth!!!

according to Acer they will release JB for A500 but not so soon...

no JB for us guys...

Hi which recovery you are using when flashing this rom?

Skrilax CZ V8 (it is a V8-Thor_1.7.3_recovery)

Use APX_v0.4A-flashTool-500Manager1.0.2 to root it and then use Acer recovery (download from apps store) and install THOR 1.7.3

if you're looking for Jelly Bean ROM, its time to go for CyanogenMOD or Thor.


THor has very good reputation for continuing to build very high standards of Acer A500 ROMs.

As for me, I'm using "JellyTime" ROM, an offshoot of CM10's ROM.

You'll need to install / flash gapps (google apps and protocols) independently, but I am enjoying JellyTime's JB.

Thor v15 just release android 4.1.2 latest jellybean build ultra stable and smooth

v15 not just release. macam last week release.

SoD still exists for most users.

So far it is stable

Testing Civato's JB 4.1.2 CM10-FLEX v6 Supercharged ROM.

I plan to flash Civato's rom also. How was it? Is it stable?

Well JB Rev 1.7 just released.... Launcher contains trebuchet, Nova, and Apex.

I prefer Nova. Its just damn smooth for me lol( tweak some settings a lil ).


Previous Civato release has front camera bug which was upside down lol.

Should be fixed already in 1.7

So far everything stable. No SOD no FC's. Lets see how it goes

Seems most of cm10 latest 4.1.2 release is quite stable
